Birthday prompt #8 - due South, (past) Stella/RayK, sunshine

Jan 12, 2011 10:58

Time for another Krkavec ficlet! This is the last of the prompts given to me by lucifuge_5, and I almost didn't write it. True confession time (and yes, I know how ironic that is, given this is my trickster!verse) - I wasn't sure Stella was even going to be a part of this 'verse. Hadn't found a way for her to fit, and wasn't worried about trying to, until ( Read more... )

Thank you, exbex! I'm very happy with how this one turned out, and intriguing is the perfect word to explain why. Adding Stella into the mix just made this 'verse more complex is a very good way, imo.

And yeah, crafty!Ray *is* a sexy thing, isn't he? ;)

No worries about late commenti (except of course how I was kinda anxious to hear your reaction). I am really happy with how Stella fits in this 'verse, and honestly owe her being there to you, so thank you.

I am pleased as punch to hear that the tone I was trying for came through, with their long history and affection and ease with one another.

And there's just something about this 'verse that brings out the mild angst, at least when I write RayK's POV (which all that I've posted has been so far, but not all that I've written). Glad it didn't take you too far out of your happy place :)

Thank you for suggesting this, and for reading!

Bounced back to here from the link on your Birthday Prompt of Jan 10, 2012...soooooo, I'm still reading this 'verse out of the order in which you wrote it, but every time one pops up in the current Snowflake, I just gotta snap it up like Dief on doughnuts. At some point, I'll get 'em together in chrono order and be reading some for the first time (yay!) and re-reading the ones I first read out of order (re-reading, double yay!).

My favorite FAVORITE dS'verse!!

And absolutely absolovely how you found Stella's way into this 'verse.

HOnestly, since what i've written is just now in some kind of order, I don't know that reading them any particular way is good or bad.

So glad you're continuing to enjoy this 'verse!

When I read your "I don't know that reading them any particular way is good or bad," I suddenly pictured Geoffrey doing Hamlet in S&A...."for there is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so...."
