My paernts are also very close to the characters represented on the show. My dad worked in a related field. My mom loves the show. I love dishing with her about it.:-D

My mom has already told me stories. I think it was a really heady time for her; she grew up in a small town in upstate New York, went to secretarial school to get her M.R.S., as she says, and eventually met my dad in a bar in Greenwich Village. I doubt she'll dish about anything juicy.

i like mad men, too [i was a TA for a class on the history of american advertising once, and we read this grat book called the conquest of cool that's about the revolution in advertising style in the 60s]. i think you should totally sit your mom down for some reminiscing!
