Cliches can be fun, definitely. There's a reason why certain cliches are popular. They work and they're fun, and what's not to love about a good detention fic:) Or snogging in a broom cupboard. *nods*

To start things off, one of my favorite H/D clichés is tie porn! Alpha!Harry. Nothing pushes my buttons more than a Harry that's in charge, whether he's taking down a row of Death Eaters with a flick of his wand, or telling Draco to wipe that pissy smirk off his face and get those damn robes off. NOW!

Fuck yes! nguh. In charge Harry makes me weak. And wet. *shifts eyes*

And I like my Draco on the bottom (see above Harry kink) but he's still gotta have spunk and snark and basically be Draco.

I like top!Draco, Draco who is wiser and more cunning than Harry, it's difficult to embarrass him or trick into things. Got something to do with 'despoiling Harry', particularly after DH and JKR's recent interviews. I love them to be Aurors, oh, yes. Virginal or clueless Harry is always welcome.

I don't like disco!Draco or Harry, whining!Draco, weak, introvert, crawling and looking-for-a-master!Draco.

But there are always exceptions.

Sorry, I know some people really like bottom!Harry, and I don't mind flexibility. But I just don't see Harry as a bottom in general. Not that I claim to even begin to understand the complexity of the top/bottom relationship, but yeah.

Personally, I don't cling to the philosophy that Harry must always be the top. I think it really depends on the fic, whether it's the ficwriter's characterization or even the plot, but I know it's something some H/D shippers feel very strongly about:) And judging from the fics I see posted, most fans and writers seem to prefer bottom!Draco fics.

I do like variety, and sometimes it feels a little naughty reading bottom!Harry fics, especially the pervy ones:D

Word up, my lady! I prefer flexibility myself, because it sort of reflects balance and equality in their relationship, although I know that just because someone prefers to either bottom or top does not mean they are inferior or whatnot in any way.

I can't really think of any favourite clichés - I mean, there are many clichéd scenarios I'll happily read if they're done well, but there's nothing I'd specifically go looking for.
