I have spent the last three hours trying to get my kids to clean their rooms.

I need a cocktail.

It is HORRIBLE. My husband doesn't understand why I end up doing it, but it takes less time to clean the room than to yell and go after them for HOURS.

Yeah, there was a point when I just wanted to take over, especially when my daughter just started shoving random things in her dresser drawers. *commiserates*

That sounds like my Monica, push in the drawers until things literally pop out.

I've held off from buying any summer clothes (which is the only thing in stores) so I can buy them and put them straight in their suitcases since they are spending the entire summer in Italy. Otherwise, I'd be dealing with those too.

::cuddle:: Poor thing, I know the feeling well. Thursday was an early release day, Friday was no school, and it's been raining all weekend. Not only do we need a cocktail, we need to go out for one. ::grin::

Going out for a cocktail would be lovely. Unfortunately my husband is away for the weekend, so it's going to be a frozen pizza in front of the telly. I do have margarita mix though. *ponders*

::snicker:: Yeah, been there.

A friend of mine & her husband had a ritual every evening: hubby came home from work and made her a gin and tonic. Hubby had to use his judgment to determine, based on her conscious and unconscious cues, whether it was a one-shot or a double-shot gin'n tonic night. And woe unto him if he guessed wrong.

Would today be a two-shot night?
