Book #24: Stardust

I listened to Stardust as an audiobook during my daily drive. This one was also read by Neil Gaiman himself. It's been a while since I read this, and I had forgotten how much it diverges from the movie. They're both just brilliant. The movie is my favorite modern fairy tale, but the book - especially the version with Charles Vess's illustrations - is just as lovely. They're different mediums and only loosely correlated stories, but I think they both work.

Ooh, I'll have to look for this audiobook in the library system. I enjoyed both the book and the movie, but it's been years for both.

Full cast recordings are fantastic, but seem to be unfortunately rare. The best ones I've come across are for the His Dark Materials trilogy. I highly recommend them!
