Summary: Things never always seem to happen the way you want it to, don't you think? You want to help get your friend together with his center of affection, but find yourself falling even harder for your own crush. As much as you want your friends to be happy, you can't say that for your own happiness. By helping them, are you making yourself feel better, or are you just making it worse?
A/N: i think i should say this here first. i'm the type pf writer who updates when i have the time, and when i have the feel of what is going to come out in the next chapter. i don't like being tied down with some kind of deadline to finish up one chapter. i'm very sorry if you readers are disappointed. But i really doubt that there are many readers out there anyway. i guess i'll just post it up on my personal LJ. If you do come across this, then good for you. i'll still cross post them up into the fanfic fandoms. If you're lucky.. Anyway, this chapter is written in Yamapi's point of view. YAMAPI'S POV
After that weird meeting with my kouhais, I couldn't help but smile about it. Ryo almost getting himself into a fight, Jin having a guy in love with him. What kept revolving inside my head was, I managed to find someone who could catch my attention. That Sakura Miyuki, she has that power to enthrall me without her even knowing. I knew a little I knew about her came from the guys in the soccer team. She was pretty, her attitude fits her perfectly, she is also the kind of girl that every guy wants. From the moment she stepped into school, there seemed to be this magnet embedded inside her or something, because even though she doesn't notice, eyes belonging to single guys tail her every move. And she already rejected more than 30 guys in merely 2 months. Be it the first years or the third years, they were all rejected. She has that enigmatic aura around her that attracts me. When she took my cellphone just now, I felt happy. Something inside me told me that she left her cellphone number, and when I checked, I scored big time. Right on the top of my contact list, above Jin's name, was a contact name of ♥Miyuki♥. That had me grinning like an idiot, thinking about her for the following hours of lessons before lunch period.
The moment lunch period came, Jin started bouncing around my desk, cheering for food. It was a usual routine, something that happened daily since junior high. That glutton had both Ryo and I chuckling at his antics as we made our way down to the canteen. But, as always, there would be this group of annoying girls following us around from our homeroom to the canteen. The way they gush about how hot Ryo is, how handsome I look and how they wished Jin belonged to them makes me sick. Nonsense, those gibberish these girls spit out of their mouths, it never fails to irritate me to no end. The urge to snap at them stays inside me, but I never unleashed any of it onto them. I couldn't shout at them to ask them to shut it, neither can Ryo nor Jin. So what if Ryo was a known poison tongue, we had a reputation to keep. Since our junior high days, it is a known fact that we, the three musketeers, never raised our voices at any one of the opposite sex, and it has always been like that ever since.
While eating, Jin was chattered non-stop about Kamenashi-kun, or Kazu as Jin calls him. He seems to take a liking for Kamenashi-kun, not that I mind. Ryo just sat there listening to Jin's blabber, nodding only when needed while I let my mind wonder around, slowly allowing my thoughts to drift towards her. I only snapped out of it when I realized that Jin had stopped talking and both my best friends were staring intently at me.
"Pi? You alright? You're spacing out." Jin looked concerned.
"Yeah, you were thinking of someone weren't you/ I recognise that look anywhere," said Ryo smugly.
"Urusai. I'm not thinking of anyone. And I'm fine."
"Ne~ Pi~ Is it me, or is that Kazu with his friends out there by the oak tree?"
Jin's face lit up when he saw Kamenashi-kun through the glass window. Turning over, I saw Kamenashi-kun, Tanaka-kun,Ueda-kun and Sakura-kun. Without much thought, i stood up from my seat and headed out. towards them, leaving a bewildered Jin and an amused Ryo behind. They only caught up with me a few seconds later, questioning looks stuck onto their faces. Now, Jin was smiling widely while Ryo stiffened slihgtly. I know he's still fired up about the fight earlier, but I couldn't be bothered about it. Because the only thing I had in mind was a certain Sakura Miyuki. Somehow, I think Sakura-kun sensed our arrival, because she whipped her head back and caught my eye. She turned back to her group smiling, and suddenly, another 3 pairs of eyes were on us. Kamenashi-kun gazing into Jin's eyes, Ueda-kun glaring intensely at Ryo, Tanaka-kun looking at us in pure amusement and Sakura-kun's eyes shining as she locked gaze with me again.
"Yo, Why are you eating out here?"
We reached them in just mere seconds. My question directed towards her.
"Hn? We like it here. It's cozy," her voice sounded like a melody to my ears.
"Eto, Kamenashi-kun, Jin was rambling about you over lunch just now. You should have been there to see his face."
Ryo was grinning at my statement while Jin's face turned a shade redder.
"Ne, it's Kame, Koki *points at Koki*, Tat-chan *points at Ueda* and Miyuki *points at her* to you Yamashita-SENPAI," teased Kamenashi-kun, adding 'senpai' behind my last name. That had the whole group laughing.
"I was thinking, could we go out on Saturday? It's my birthday, and I want to go to the amusement park," asked Miyuki. Kame, Koki and Tat-chan nodding in agreement. When she looked over at me, I felt surprised.
"Us too?"
"Un. Don't you all wanna join us?" Now even Jin and Ryo were surprised.
"Are you serious?"
"But you barely know us."
"Let's just take this as a senpai-kouhai bonding outing then," came her cheeky reply.
Looking at each other for a few seconds, we then turned to Miyuki going, "Saturday it is."
By then, all 3 of us, Jin, Ryo and I, were already settled in with Miyuki's group on the grass. Conversation topics came out easily for everyone else, but not for me. That gave me the chance to look at the only girl in the group. With that little self-restraint that I had, I tried not to let my mind wonder off. The way she laughed freely with Koki, the way she tried to stop Tat-chan from inflicting any physical harm onto Ryo, the way she smiled, talked, ponder over something. All the little things about her, up to the most minute detail like how she liked to play with her fingernails, or how she enjoys ruffling Kame's hair when teasing him, they managed to find a method to imprint each and every thing inside my brain. In other words, I was falling for her. Sure, I've seen her around in school, but this is the first time I got to know her as a possible girlfriend friend, and I'm already getting attracted to her.
"Yabaii, this is bad." I thought to myself, shaking my head to clear my thoughts.
"Hn? What's bad?" The curious look Miyuki had on her face made her look kissable. I didn't realize that I had voiced my thoughts out loud though.
"Eh? Betsuni. It's nothing. What were you talking about?" Jin quirked an eyebrow as he looked at me. Glaring, I told him to keep his comments to himself with my eyes. If Ryo had noticed anything, he didn't say anything. In a blink of an eye, 15 minutes flew past, just like that, which meant that in another 5 minutes, the school bell was going to ring. It was decided that we should all be headed back to class. Standing up, we agreed that we, being Miyuki and group with Jin, Ryo and I, would be having lunch together daily from tomorrow onwards out by the oak tree. But before leaving, I managed to snag Miyuki's cellphone from her hand and added my own cellphone number into her contact list.
"This way, I have yours and you'll have mine. I'll text you later," I whispered to the surprised owner while returning the cellphone.
The way she blushed made me wanna hug her badly. But since Jin and Ryo were waiting for me, I swiftly pecked her forehead lightly and ran off. I could feel 3 penetrating glares on my back, but I couldn't be bothered. Jin grinned at me while Ryo looked slightly boggle-eyed.
"Way to go Pi. You like her don't you?" asked Jin.
"I guess? She has this one thing about her that attracts me."
"Ohhhhh. Our Tomo-chan is in love," teased Ryo.
"Oi, urusai." We stepped into class just as the school bell rang.
Time moved slowly after that. I was anxious for school to end. The only reason somehting like that would pop out inside my head was soccer practice. Jin, Ryo and I were all in the school team. Jin as captain, me being vice-captain and Ryo as quarter master. All sports teams had their practices scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. And when the school bell that signaled the end of school rang, i jumped from my seat in vigor.
"YATTA! SCHOOL'S OVER! LET'S GO FOR SOCCER PRACTICE NOW! JIN! RYO! HAYAKU!"
Both of them could only roll their eyes ar me, but followed me out of class towards the soccer field nontheless.
[3 days later]
"Ahhhhh! Why did they have to give us so many assignments?! It's only Thursday for heaven's sake!" whined Koki.

"Miyuki, I'm not very good with words and I don't know how to phrase this. I'm extremely bad at proclaiming my love to people. But I do know that i like you alot. Would you like to be my girlfriend please?"
