BTW, it seems like the community is very quiet. It'd probably explode their brains to post lots of icons and stuff. I know I'm certainly nervous about posting there, unlike other communities where if you don't post every few days people start to think you're throwing a "I'm-leaving-eljay-because-you-don't-love-me" fit. >D I'd save up the icons and post more in like a week. That's what I'm planning on doing, even though my collection isn't nearly as *ehem* substantial as your own. ;3
You are probably right. I should wait a little while. I did notice the place seems a bit quiet, which is why I hadn't posted the rest of my icons already. I don't want to come across as a um (what word am I looking for?), spammer I guess. So, yeah, this Friday might be too soon. It's only tomorrow after all. Maybe...next Friday. I can spend the time making my icons better. Perhaps figure out the mysteries of text, and why I suck at it.
Text is so hard to put into icons! I've been doing icons off and on for AGES and I still feel like I don't know anything. Too big and it drowns out the picture, too small and nobody can read it so it's just annoying... :<
In any case, you're the first person I've met in the GG community at large that is internet active! It's so refreshing! *sobs and clings* PLEASE! TALK TO ME~! (lol)
I really haven't been making icons that long. I'm mostly messing around, still learning how to use my image editing program.
Yeah, I have the same problem with text. My main problem is making is so that you can read the words. Usually I have a background that is both light and dark...so it is near impossible to make the words look good and be readable.
My other problem is...well...I can't think of the snappy words to go on the text.
