A very quick Renegades update before I head off to sleep... The Renegades have been fighting a pretty serious timing issue during the song "Jazz Police" in our 2007 show. The corps faces backfield during the soprano solo, but due to sound delay, there is a big timing issue between the drumline and the drum major when the corps turns around to ( Read more... )

Hey Stuart, just wondering, since you're the only Yahoo! Photos user I know...

What did you think of the whole migrate-away-from-Yahoo-photos deal? Did it make sense to you, and did you think it was reasonable?

I'll have to get back to you on that because I haven't really considered my migration options yet. :-) I'd like to go with Flickr, but I'm cheap -- I want something that's free and doesn't have Flickr's upload limits. (I take too many photos of the corps -- I run out of bandwidth very quickly.)

I think flickr pro is only $25/year these days. Not free, but close. Plus, flickr's interface is about 100000 times better than the yahoo photos one, which i still don't quite understand.

If you *really* don't want to pay for the account, you could create a "Renegades" flickr group, and add your photos to it...that way they'll always be viewable, instead of just the 200 visible in your account. Also, with the free account you can only view the image at 800x600 resolution, so you might as well upload them as 800x600, which would allow for 2000-3000 uploads per month.

I am a bit biased because i think flickr is awesome, and it has made me a much better photographer. Ok, if you really don't want to pay for an account, i'll buy you a pro account :).
