Gundam Big Expo: The Write Up
I'm back from the Gundam Big Expo. I just attended the last day because I was busy in a sea of fanboys the day before (that will come in a different Mamo-related post ^^)
I imagine you guys don't need my long essay that I wrote from the beginning to the end of my day so I'll spare you. Heck, you probably don't even need this essay like one about the Gundam 00 Special Stage. But I figure, it's got Miyano Mamoru, it's under the cut, it can't hurt XD.
And forgive me for being stupid and not even considering this but:
For those who have yet to watch the entire series - some of this may be a little spoilerish. Just a teenie weenie bit.
After getting through the sea of people lining up for the 00 Special Stage, I sat myself down in the center of the 3rd row.
Bells go off signaling the beginning of the show.
The host appears on stage and asks us: "Do you want to meet the meisters?"
Us: "Yessssss!!!!"
She then introduces them one by one. Starting with Miyano Mamoru.
Mamo comes on center stage - hair did, white shirt with black stars, black vest over pink vest, black capris and those wicked shoes he wears on his J*S video and jacket.
Unashamed, I'm applauding with my hands over my head yelling out, "MAMO~~~!!!" - and so was the rest of my row ^^. He stops at the top of the stage and looks out with a half smile that looked like he knew something we didn't *MELT*. KAKKOII MAMO is WIN!!!
Miki Shin'ichiro is next. He comes on stage to Mamo's left and I almost fell off my chair.
Um...
Miki Shin'ichiro is HAWT.
Or he was that day. HOTTY MCHOTTY that Miki was.
I think I said "Oh my god..." before I started yelling, "MIKI~~~~!!!!"
He had on a tight beige long sleeved shirt, a long dark green scarf, *VERY* tight brown jeans (ohohoho...), brown boots, sunglasses and hair that only Miki Shin'ichiro can pull off. He stands next to Mamo sexy as hell in a Miki/Lockon like pose. I wanted to pull out my fan. I think the girl to my right started fanning herself with her hand LOL.
But there was no time to breathe because Yoshino Hiroyuki was next - appearing on Mamo's right. Black and Gray top with a black vest, black slacks and silver converse. You guys, Yoshino Hiroyuki is one good looking man. Like Mamo and Miki he stands at the top of the stage, not waving, just looking out to the audience and then Kamiya Hiroshi is called and appears next to Miki wearing the pants he wore for the Gundam 00 special magazine shoot and the vest that went with it over a white shirt, along with white loafers. HIS hair also very styled. Or more volume than usual XD. Be still my heart, Kamiyan, standing there looking cool. They all stand there in a row, in their cool stances looking out as we, the audience (or the female portion of it) were on the verge of overheating from their hotness. Miki must've planned this LOL! As they move to the front of the stage, the girl next to me says, "It's gotten hot in here."
Oh, I hear ya, girl.
They greet everyone one by one:
Mamo: "Minna! Konnichiwa!"
Us: "Konnichiwa!!!"
Mamo: "Wow, such great reaction, you guys!"
Miki: "Konnichiwa!"
Us: "Konnichiwa!!"
Miki: "Very nice."
Yoshino: "Domos." (straight faced)
Us: "Kon...Dom..."
Yoshino: "Weak response, you guys."
Mamo/Miki/Kamiyan: "LOL LOL LOL!!!" (Kamiyan is in the corner holding his stomach laughing.)
Kamiyan just cuts to the chase:
"I'm Kamiya Hiroshi, voice of Tieria Erde. Yoroshiku."
Us: "YAAAY!"
The First Section was an interview from the host:
1. To everyone - Choose a line from the series you like.
Mamo: "Nerai utsu!" (Lockon's line) *looks at Miki, laughing*
Miki: "Ore-tachi wa Gundam da!" (Setsuna's line) LOL! All 4 of them are laughing XD.
Yoshino: "Military power will eradicate war"
Kamiyan: "Ore wa Gundam da!" *Looks at Mamo*
Mamo: *Gives him the thumbs up*
When Kamiya was later asked to emphasize, he said that it was very much like "I'm Kamen Rider" or "I'm Ultraman" that those who watch then understand that they are the hero.
2. Your most memorable Gundam 00 event?
Mamo: "Budokan." (Go! Go! 5 Fes)
Miki: "The cast call. If my name wasn't called, I didn't know what I was going to do"
Yoshino: "It would have to be shichi-san"
He meant this:

Kamiyan: "Budokan"
Yoshino was asked to emphasize why he chose that particular event (the Game Show last year) and he said, because their leader (Miki) wasn't able to attend, they weren't too sure what to do and in the end this is what they came up with.
Kamiyan: "I wasn't too sold on the idea, but then I remembered that Mamo-chan had to go to a second stage as soon as the one we were doing was over so I agreed with the idea."
(AKA: Kamiyan... wanted Mamo to go to his next stage looking like that? LOL!!!)
Next question was to Mamo:
"How would you describe Director Mizushima in one word?"
Mamo: "Oto~~~sa~~~~~n!"
He then later says that Director Mizushima helped him grow as a seiyuu. Asked if Mamo was ever scolded by the director, he said "Yes, once telling me that I reveal too many things on my blog and to be a bit more calm in posting. And for that one day I was... LOL"
To Miki: "If you were to describe Gundam 00 to someone who didn't watch it using the sentence "Gundam 00 is a _________ __________ kind of show." What would you say?"
Er... his answer was so long that later when the host asked him to emphasize, not only did the host forget what he said Miki said the following: "Actually, I also forgot what I'd said." Though he did go on to explain what he meant. (I'm sorry, insert Japanese comprehension fail HERE OTZ)
To Yoshino: "What's your favorite scene from the series?"
Yoshino: "Ito Yuna's ending 'Trust You'"
Later on saying, "It summed up the entire series really. I think that song was the theme of the show."
Host: "Do you sing it in karaoke?"
Yoshino: (really fast) "No." Then continues, "That's more up Mamo's aisle."
Mamo: "Huh?" (He started shifting in his seat, maybe he was scared they were going to make him sing Trust You?! LOL)
To Kamiyan: "If they brought Tieria's body back for the movie, what requests would you like to make in regards of his appearance?"
Kamiyan: (in a strong voice) "Please keep him the way he's always been!"
Us: "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!"
3. Question to everyone "When you heard that they were making a 00 movie what was your initial reaction?
Mamo: "AAAAAGHHH~~~~~n" said in a way that sounded like a very big Sob of Joy. LOL
Miki: "Wel...How am I expected to follow that?!" *pointing to Mamo* LOL! "It's absolutely fine by me though. It's not over yet, all this nervousness is going to continue~~~AAAAAAAAAAAAAHH~~~~N!!"
Yoshino/Mamo/Kamiyano: "LOL"
Yoshino: (in what sounded like a panicky Allelujah voice （＞▽＜）) "We're doing it AAAAAHHHH!!!" (while hitting his forehead with the flat end of his fist LOL!!)
Kamiyan: "Gundam wa suge---AAAAHH!!!! That pretty much summed it up for all of us right?"
Yoshino: "Right."
Miki: "I don't think I want "AAAAHH!!""
Mamo: "Yes, you did."
Miki: "I did?"
Mamo: "Yes."
Miki: "Oh. OK."
Kamiyan: "You don't have to go along with it so easily!"
LOL
Section One finishes and they call Director Mizushima to the stage.
He introduces the Blue Ray DVD being released in October and shows the poster. I took a picture of the smaller one I found at the 00 Exhibit:
But for Mamo who hadn't yet seen it, he went "Whooooa! SUGOI!!" LOL
They showed us a bit from it on the big screen and while Yoshino, Mamo and Miki stayed in their seats watching the screens in front of them, Kamiyan moves down to the floor of the stage to watch from the big screen XD.
The scene was when Setsuna was having a flashback in his cockpit of when he first saw 00-Gundam, then being piloted by Ribbons.
Was Setsuna originally narrating in the background?
He was in this one!
Well here's an idea of what Ribbons said: "So you see me as a god? As you should."
So badass, that Ribbons.
After that the hosts asks the four: "So do you have an idea about what's going on in the movie?"
Yoshino: "No clue."
Host to the director: "Is that part of your plan? To keep them all in suspense?"
Mizushima: "No, no. It's just that no one is asking about it."
*all four of the meisters turn to him with "What?" look on their face* (LOL!)
Mamo: *raises hand* "What happens in the last scene?"
Yoshino/Miki/Kamiya: "Wait a moment!"
Mizushima: "Well, in the last scene..."
Mamo: "Wait! Stop! I wasn't serious!"
LOL
Yoshino: *raises hand* "Will Nakamura-san be a part of it?"
Mizushima: "Yes he will be. He is after all, Graham Aker and Mr. Bushido"
Us: *cheers*
Miki: "Maybe this time he'll just be Mr. Aker."
LOL XD
Host: "I think now Director Mizushima, you have something for the fans right?"
Mizushima: "Yes. Actually we actually have a promo of the movie that we finished. Though it's not final, we want to show it to everyone."
Us: "KYAAAAAAAA!!!!"
And by the look of complete and utter surprise on Yoshi, Mamo, Miki and Kamiyan's face, they had no clue about this. I wish so bad I could have taken a picture because their expressions were all sorts of priceless. How often do you see that?!
Mamo's jaw dropped and looked like he was a kid discovering Santa was real XD LOL!
All four of them move to sit on the floor, their backs to us so we're all watching from the big screen.
(W...why does Miki-san look sexy sprawled out on the floor?? I blame pheromones. Yes! That's it!)
Ahem: Anyway, back to the show
First there was footage of the art and design team discussing, debating and drawing the new mobile suits. And then on the screen:
"RAPHAEL GUNDAM"
In purple.
Mamo was bouncing up and down on the floor. LOL! It was so cute. And I suspect that maybe, just maybe Yoshino was laughing at him.
And as for the audience.
Everyone! Is! Screaming! LOL
So was I.
First: The actual Gundam
Then: Tieria Erde in his Celestial Being uniform solidifying in the cockpit. That's right. Solidifying. Like a hologram?
By now, I'm sure there were people in the audience so happy tears were coming out of their eyes.
Kamiyan on the floor pumps both his fists in the air as if to say "I WIN!!!"
Mamo is applauding.
I'm sorry. After this, my brain overheated and I can't remember the other Gundams names XD.
Next was Lockon Stratos' Gundam and then Lockon and his sexy self in his pilot suit slinging his helmet over his shoulder.
Us: *Kyaaaa~~~!*
Lockon, why you so sexy? LOL
Then there was the Arios jet in outer space and we're all "Kyaaa!"
Then they show Allelujah climbing that mountain of his and we all went LOL ahahaha!
Last, but most certainly not least is Setsuna's Gundam and then a toe to head shot of Setsuna taking off his helmet.
By this point, I was pretty much losing my voice. It's sooo easy to get caught up in it when there are 800 other people as hyped up as you are ^_^.
The director then said the promo will probably change, so the one they showed here was and will only be seen by the people present. Wow.
After that was over, Mamo was returning to his seat, wiping his eyes. Heck, there were a lot of girls wiping their eyes.
Mamo: "Kandou shita!" (I'm so moved!)
Yoshino: "Well, it looks like I actually made it to the top of that mountain."
Everyone: "LOL!"
Host: "Kamiya-san, isn't it great that you got what you hoped for?"
Kamiyan: "Yes! I'm so happy!"
Mizushima: "But that's not the final work yet. We might make some changes still."
Miki: "What if we give Tieria some muscles at the shoulders?"
Kamiyan: *shoots Miki a look* "Please, stop. (Yamenasai.)"
LOL!!
Mizushima: "You never know, we might make you a mini-Tieria to sit on Setsuna's shoulder."
Mamo: "LOL!!! And then if he begins to annoy Setsuna, he can do this *pretends to put Mini-Tieria in his pocket*
Kamiyan: "What if there were many of them?!"
Mamo: *in a chibi voice pretending there were many mini-Tieria on the table going "Setsuna. Setsuna. Setsuna. Setsuna..."
Bwahahaha!!! I'd buy one!
At the end, they signed the massive autograph board commemorating Gundam's 30th Anniversary. It already had the autographs of probably every single seiyuu who played a lead character in a Gundam series.
As they were giving their last thanks to the audience one by one, I pretended that Kamiyan and I were looking at each other - well aware that because of the lighting, he probably couldn't see the audience clearly - but he was standing right there looking forward and his eyes are small enough *is bricked really hard* that I can pretend that he was looking my way. I was alternating between fantasizing that and that Yoshino and I looking at each other XD XD XD. Just because they were the closest ones to me ahahaha!!! (Sleep deprivation makes one delirious okay? LOL)
Miki bows like a gentleman: at the waist with one arm in front and one behind *_*
Mamo was waving both hands in the air, a big smile on his face.
They move to the top of the stage, turn to us and bow one last time and then they all turn at the same time and disappear off the stage.
And again, we're all left needing a fan to cool ourselves off. I swear it wasn't only me!
Those 4 are pretty much a deadly combination. It's lovely! LOL!!!
As I was leaving there was indeed a lot of girls with tears in their eyes.
In the end: I don't regret one bit losing sleep, wasting a hotel room, waiting 12 hours in line, leaving a concert 2 hours early because I had such a fabulous time. Absolutely fabulous!!

At the end, they signed the massive autograph board commemorating Gundam's 30th Anniversary. It already had the autographs of probably every single seiyuu who played a lead character in a Gundam series.
As they were giving their last thanks to the audience one by one, I pretended that Kamiyan and I were looking at each other - well aware that because of the lighting, he probably couldn't see the audience clearly - but he was standing right there looking forward and his eyes are small enough *is bricked really hard* that I can pretend that he was looking my way. I was alternating between fantasizing that and that Yoshino and I looking at each other XD XD XD. Just because they were the closest ones to me ahahaha!!! (Sleep deprivation makes one delirious okay? LOL)

Mamo was waving both hands in the air, a big smile on his face.
They move to the top of the stage, turn to us and bow one last time and then they all turn at the same time and disappear off the stage.
And again, we're all left needing a fan to cool ourselves off. I swear it wasn't only me!
Those 4 are pretty much a deadly combination. It's lovely! LOL!!!
As I was leaving there was indeed a lot of girls with tears in their eyes.
In the end: I don't regret one bit losing sleep, wasting a hotel room, waiting 12 hours in line, leaving a concert 2 hours early because I had such a fabulous time. Absolutely fabulous!!
