lavender and music

So just outside the entrance to the office, which is different than the entrance to the club in that it is on the side of the club down an alley - right across from Chrome Hearts - a high end sorta punkish jewelry line - which is on the same driveway.

Anyway, to finish that sentence, I found a lavender bush. (I didn't realize it was lavender because there were no flowers yet, but now that I have my own lavender bush, I can recognize the leaves - which have the same scent as the leaves anyway!). I was having a really stressful day. My bosses are out on tour and I'm left to the thralls of Hirano. So far, things are ok, but yesterday being the first day I was really scared. And really lonely. Fortunately had plenty of work to do, but still... it was hard to relax and stay focused because of my nerves. So I took advantage of having found lavender, and stewed the leaves in hot water (and showed them to hirano because I'm nice like that, thought she breathed in all of the fumes until the cup like cooled!) But I didn't steep them for the aroma, I wanted to use the liquid!

I poured the liquid in cool water and drank it all day.

Today I did an even better job. I took a bunch of leaves and rinsed them in cool water while gently crumbling them in my hand, then I stooped them in a small amount of hot water for 3 minutes and breathed in the aroma. Then I poured it into a full glass of cool water.

So, you all should try that. I used to make green tea and put dried lavender blossoms into it. It's not only amazingly aromatic but also a GREAT elixer to help you both focus spiritually (green tea) and relax your mind and body (lavender). Perfect for meditation, perfect for stress at work, perfect even to unwind before bed. But lavender water/tea is just as good.

Summary of this entry: I am a witch, haha. I can make potions (8B narf)

Also, I found some sheet music in a file I was going through, and I was delighted to discover that I can still sight read like I could back in high school and college!

OMG OMG, AND AND!! The guitarist of my band did a search on yahoo auctions for a left-handed guitar for me, and found a really crappy one for 1700-something yen! Instead of paying for shiping he's just gonna come pick it up so he doesnt have to pay shipping. Apparently it's just beat up, but the sound is just fine.

Im pretty used to having crappy guitars and Im not really particular about that. I don't even really have a "dream guitar", though of course I prefer certain colors and specifications over others. This is just a basic-looking guitar and it's dark red, which is an A-OK color for me! I'm definitely excited about it even though I have been told to not get excited about it (ボロいものだから)

Anyway, that's the news for today.
