So, it's started again. And this time around, I know what's going to happen since I'm something like a hundred page into book three. My first opinion of the episode is "damn, things are going fast! I watched the first series after I read the book, but I'm watching the second series before I read the book. Because I think I'd rather watch it than sit there expecting/anticipating things to happen all the time.

I can see the sense in that, though I think I really started enjoying the books when I got to the part where I didn't know what was going to happen. Also, I dn't think I could wait over a year o read book 3, then one more year for book 4, and so on. Too impatient, I am. :P

Also, as I said, their choices make sense. Storytelling in telly-form is different than in book-form, and I respect that, especially since they are so faithful to the source material. I'm enjoying the show a lot! I find the change choices interesting, and at least this way they can still manage to surprise me a bit with some jumping ahead.

Yes, they have to somehow show the things that we just get from listening to people's thoughts, and I'll admit it is interesting watching to see how they do that. And I suppose it's nice to know that if I ever get lost there are a bunch of people who know what's going on.
