Okay. Just to make sure I understand.

Say I choose three Genres. Action/Adventure, Hurt/Comfort and Mystery/Suspense.

Then I choose one theme from each Genre.

From A/A - #13 Humpty Dumpty
From H/C - #04 novelty
From M/S - #09 death on the moor

So that means, I end up writing three fics? Or will I be writing many fics but only in those genres and themes that I chose?

And do I understand that I can't repeat my chosen Genres and themes for a fandom? IE, only one fic for Full Metal Alchemist under A/A - #13 Humpty Dumpty and the next fic I write for A/A = #13 Humpty Dumpty canNOT be Full Metal Alchemist?

Sorry for being so convoluted. Just wanting to get it straight so I can start writing!

Hi! Thanks for asking. I understand if the guidelines can be a little confusing :)
So, for your queries:

1- you *may* choose to write three separate fics using each genre+theme mix OR write only one story that has ALL of those genre+theme mix in it.

1.1- it is advisable to not repeat your chosen genre+theme mixes ONLY for multi-chaptered or continuing stories, but sometimes it's just inevitable. so in theory, one story should have at least ONE genre+theme mix, regardless of length or how many parts/chapters it has.

2- there's no limit as to how many stories you choose to write using the genre+theme mixes you picked.

2.1- and of course, you can repeat the genre+theme mix for any fandom. you can write as many A/A #13 stories as you want for various fandoms - the only rule is that: if it's the same fandom, you CANNOT repeat those mixes for the same set of characters.

Does that help? Just ask again if it still confuses you, I'd be glad to help! :)

Oh regarding my answer in 2.1, it might be confusing...

2.1- and of course, you can repeat the genre+theme mix for any fandom. you can write as many A/A #13 stories as you want for various fandoms - the only rule is that: if it's the same fandom, you CANNOT repeat those mixes for the same set of characters UNLESS it's the same story, as it applies to my answer 1.1

example:
A) From A/A - #13 Humpty Dumpty, you chose FMA

story 1 : Roy/Ed pairing : one-shot only or 1 chapter
story 2 : Roy/Riza pairing : with 4 chapters

++OR you can do THIS++

B) From H/C - #04 novelty & From M/S - #09 death on the moor, you chose FMA

story 1 : Roy/Ed pairing : one-shot only or 1 chapter
story 2 : Roy/Riza pairing : with 4 chapters

Hey, can I advertise my community here? (It's foundtranslated, a future fanfic exchange for rare fandoms. It seems like a quirky, offbeat community like this one might attract the kind of people who'd be interested.)

I really don't encourage advertising here, but I can always add you to the affiliates list if that will be okay? The comm's not too active anyway either. You can advertise though at the "AD section" in my other comm, mix7fics :)

No problem :) I'll try to advertise it too at some of my other comms. You can also advertise at fanfic_ads

Hey, I just wanted to say I find your take on the writing challenge/prompt community quite unique. Thank you for creating a low(to none)pressure place for fanfiction! Your no-claim policy and write-as-you-want attitude is brilliant. ;)
