So I got a 10 day free trial of WoW for updating my video card driver. (For realz?)

I've never played it before.... I'm sure this won't cause any issues in my life.

I never got into a decent guild, thus I never got too into the WoW.

Yeah this game is kind of lame.

I expected more Diablo-ness.... I don't want to kill specific numbers of wolves and boars.

In my limited experience, WoW tends to be much more about the social "let's do pointless stuff together" than it is about the actual gameplay. Couple the groups with the low barrier to system entry and you've got what is essentially a machine to make money for Blizzard.

*patiently waits for Diablo iii, coming some time in the next decade or so*

That's what was missing. I kept playing thinking, this is so not Diablo. This is kind of like Black and White meets Diablo.... in a bad way.

I recommend Saints Row 2. I've been playing a friend's copy and it is balls-to-the-wall awesome. It's a lot like GTA IV, only you don't have to take your dumpy cousin out to bars and you're not the buttmonkey of half the city. Did I mention you get to gun down police boats and helicopters in the FIRST MISSION?

I've come disastrously close to picking that one up a few times. I'm still bitter over GTA IV, so it's on the "some day" list.

And I just ignored Roman. Who needs a free taxi service anyway? When you're robbing banks, you can afford the $20 cab fare.

I also only answered Brucie's call so I could take him and his dates up in a helicopter and bail out at 1000 feet.

Not to mention taxis being kind of pointless when you can carjack people with almost zero penalty.

Well taxis DID have their use considering the driving physics were absolutely horrible. I wanted to skip the trip to my next location as often as possible.

I have heard from another friend that the free trial of WoW was dead boring. I have been busy judging the shit out of anyone addicted to WoW for this reason. I heard some good reviews of Mirror's Edge but since it'll be a decade before I get a PS3 I won't know for sure until then. One of my acquaintances at school is crazy for Fallout 3.

The demo for Mirror's Edge was insanely wonderful. I thought there was no way it would let me down.

But the rest of the game isn't as well thought out. It gets old, and they force you into a lot of combat with heavily armed cops.

The game was supposed to be one where you EVADE conflict.

Fallout 3 is glitchy as hell, but I just couldn't care less. I'm the ass kicking messiah of a nuclear wasteland who collects garden gnomes and leaves primed grenades in people's pants after pickpocketing them.... and I wouldn't have it any other way.
