[gamepost] O HAI. U HAS A DAEMON NAO.

Nov 28, 2009 19:15

It's a fine and pleasant day by local standards, whether it's in a bar or on a ship or off somewhere else entirely, and everything is going just as you'd expect it to go.

And then there is a poink! noise, and something has changed. You, and everyone else around you, is suddenly accompanied by an animal... an intelligent, talking animal that gives ( Read more... )

"You know, this place never fails to be extremely irritating."

Narcissa looks down pointedly at the white fox curled around her ankles, looking for all the world like if it wasn't extremely warm it would probably have something to say on the matter too.

"No kiddin'."

Shephard isn't bothering to try and look at the creature that's following him around. Honeybees move a little too quickly for that when they're excited, or thrust into a novel environment.

"I kind of want t'know who set this whole shebang off, myself. Might be him'n me need to have a few words."

"I suppose in the grand scheme of things that have happened here, this one is relatively harmless."

She eyes the swarm of bees, though. "At least, mine seems to be." Bees can STING things, for Merlin's sake.

"If I wanted this- aw, hey, don't be like that-"

That part is addressed to the little bee cloud, whose buzzing took on a very distinctly displeased tone at his words.

"All I was gonna say is, I could just go home'n hang out 'round my momma's hives. Nice fox you got there, though. Ain't seen one of the white ones in a long damn time."

Fiona had just come down to pick a new book from the bar, but now she was too busy blinking at the little wolverine that was toddling next to her since she'd come downstairs.

"Huh."

Gordon's only just looked up from the apparently high-magnification glass marble that materialized in his pocket a short while ago.

"I take it your companion's new to you, too?"

There was a second, then a third look at the wolverine before the girl nodded mutely.

"Very. I mean, I know what he is. I've read enough books to be able to identify Gulo gulo. But I don't... quite..."

"At least you can see yours without assistance," Gordon says. He holds up the marble. "Sati, here, is about a millimeter long. Friendly, though."

The Afro-Asian woman in a patched leather jacket is staaaaaring at the full-grown Bengal tiger that just appeared out of thin air next to her.

The tiger is staaaaaring right back.

"Alyx?" says Gordon, tucking the little glass marble away into one of his pockets for the moment. "Are you- whoa."

The tiger looks over at Gordon. It doesn't seem particularly perturbed by the man's presence--or, if it does, the feeling is overshadowed by holy crap I exist when did that happen??.

Alyx looks over as well, managing a faint smile. "Hi."

"Looks like this place is pulling tricks on people again," Gordon says. "Who's this?"

He's got a feeling he ought to know the name. It's one of those things.

Sameth isn't sure exactly what kind of animal is wandering around his feet but its doing some nice woodwork with its teeth, its actually a beaver but he's never seen one before.

A cat... well it looks like a cat, but it's sort of ghostly and sickly looking jumps in front of the beaver and hisses aggressively.

Sameth gets in front of Mat, which he's learned is the beaver's name who's menacing its stick at the cat,

"Stop that!"

The cat continues to hiss and it waves its paw at the beaver and the stick. Kale swooped over and scooped the cat up. "I'm sorry... he's... he won't let anyone get near me... and near me seems to be within ten feet."

The cat hisses as he climbs up on Kale's shoulder. His gold eyes were the only solid thing about him.

Kain is peering disapprovingly at the wyvern that's wrapped herself around his leg.

You can't tell because he's wearing his helmet, but his eyebrows are reaching for his hairline.

Sameth gives the wyvern a look as he kneels down to look at the creature who's named Mat near his ankles,

"What's that?"

"Wyvern," responds Kain. "They're dragonkin. Very territorial, very clever."

Also considered something of a blight on whatever place they occupy, but Kain doesn't mention that.

The beaver gives the wyvern a wary look and plants itself in front of Sameth's feet,

"Oh, do you know why you have it?"
