Here's How it WorksJust follow the guide and you should be good to go! Keep in mind, though: if you don't want to encounter something, you're welcome to say that your character missed it by wandering off for a bit. And if you don't want to do a status effect, it just didn't work on them ( Read more... )

At least it's not damp in here.

(Werewolf version of Scott, information found here.)

Scott sniffed at the doorway, and grunted.

Those tools he was looking to trade from Quintus better be worth it.

He could use some exercise and a bit of adventure, though.

...he shouldn't have done this. If he was smart (all right, smarter) he would have just figured out some way to explain the discrepancy in his bank accounts but no, he'd decided he needed to cover the place with revenue generated at this place.

Let's just say Morgan was glad he had his gun on him and leave it at that.

Chainsaw saunters in, whistling.

It's not like she needs the money, but it sounded like fun.

A Dark Stone Hallway mm_danii July 27 2009, 16:21:33 UTC
There isn't much to recommend the place so far. The hallway is dark, though there are torches waiting to be lit if you would like a bit of illumination. It almost looks as if no one's been here for a few centuries.

Figuring he'd better make nice with his 'team' for this run, Morgan looked at the person closest to him.

"You got a name?"

"Chainsaw. You?"

The light from the entrance only goes so far, and unless there's something about the other two that Scott couldn't smell, they'd need the light. Heck, 50 feet in and he'd want the light.

"Scott Blehnwar." He reached for a torch and lit it with a match, sneezing at the sulfer smell.

"Werewolf."

Somebody was used to the setting! And liked knowing who and or what he was dealing with if he had to be around them.

Attack! mm_danii July 27 2009, 16:23:12 UTC
As the hallway changes from simple stone into something that could have come right out of a science fiction movie, a number of men with helmets and blasters come trooping around a corner. Upon seeing the party, they ducked back and started firing.

"Somebody's coming," he managed to get out before the men in space-cop outfits came around the corner.

Blasters. BLASTERS.

w.t.f.

Oh, look. There's metal in those blasters. Scott reached a hand toward one of them and the gun crumpled in the man's hands.

Derek took half a second to look at what the guy was doing before rolling out of the way of a blast and blinking at the scorched spot left behind.

"Holy--"

And with the timing one found in a character on primetime, his curse was interrupted with the need to fire his weapon.

Two of the soldiers went down.

Some cover might be nice, right about now. Scott didn't know if the others could survive blaster shots or duck them, but he didn't have time to build one. Too bad they didn't have a nice handy corner to duck behind.

One after the other, in quick succession, three blasters crinkled into a useless pile of scrap in their owner's hands.

Somebody else noticed the large, unmoving target, and Scott strangled a pained inhuman yelp with an angry growl before crushing the spaceman's helmet instead of his gun.

Back to stone, though, uh, be careful of the area that seems to be made of little porous holes on either side. The barbs aren't large, but get enough of them and they'll cause trouble.

After the harrowing madness, the little garden with the waterfall and the beautiful flowers is a very nice relief. It's definitely a good place to take stock, settle a little, maybe discuss a plan.
