There's a table in the... theoretical space. Roger is at it, with a book on advanced Economics. He, despite all possibilities to the contrary, looks like he's actually enjoying it. He wouldn't mind being bugged, though.

Josh has been in a state of befuddled 'WTF' ever since he stumbled into this interdimensional space. So when he sees a familiar face, a beeline gets made.

The fact that the familiar face is his boyfriend is a bonus. "Roger!"

"Wow. I remember seeing footage on the news the other night of your mom manhandling a guy into the back of a squad car." There is respect in his voice.

"Mom on the other hand... well, she's used to manhandling and decking people. Angie always jokes that she makes up for Dad's lack of it."

"Might ask her for some pointers or reference to a self-defense class. I wouldn't know really what to do." A faint frown before it vanishes.

Roger blinks, and reaches over, putting a hand on Josh's arm. "She'd be more than happy to, Josh, really." Pause. "Is something up?"

[mm_ali]

"Normal campus idiots aside?" He covers Roger's hand. "Someone sent my folks pictures from the drag show. They...aren't happy."

Roger winces. "Oh god. I'm sorry, Roger." He sighs. "I think I forget how good I have it at home sometimes." Pause. "Anything I can do?"

"Not your fault." He sighs. "I've got enough saved up that I think I can get an apartment. Just the problem of going home to get the rest of my stuff. I've been...avoiding it."

Roger pauses for a moment, then blinks. "Why do you need an apartment?" A smirky smile crosses his face. "You have a boyfriend with a hell of a lot of room." Beat. "And really, I think all of Today For You could go get your stuff, if you want moral support."

"......well, hell, Roger. Laura told me you were wonderful but I didn't realize just how much." He grins, relaxing fully. "I...well, I don't want to impose. Maybe if your folks would let me pay rent..."

Roger blinks. "Are you kidding? People've lived in the Building for... well, for longer than Laura's been alive and have never paid rent. Dad thinks it's a four-letter-word."

"Seriously? How do I get adopted?"

[mm_quinby]

Roger squeezes his hand. "I think you already have been."

[mm_ali]

He grins, squeezing back. "Thank Laura for talking me into the drag show."

[mm_quinby]

Roger raises an eyebrow. "Brat. She was trying to set us up. Cause she talked me into going."

[mm_ali]

"You know how she is. Looks so nice and innocent, but the moment she dares you to do something, you have to. And then you're doomed." He's clearly upset, in precisely the sense that he isn't.
