He's not as sore as he was earlier in the week, and the nasty bruise on his elbow is nearly faded. There is some residual issues still lingering with his head, but it's not an issue.

It's a pretty nice day, which is why he's outside and eventually he ends up under the tree, peering up at the inhabitant.

"Was wondering how long before you busted out."

"Mum let me out, I asked nicely. Didn't have to get yourself hurt for me."

A cookie is tossed down to him though she stays up for now.

"I've dealt with worse, not saying it was pleasant, but I'm fine."

He pops the cookie into his mouth and chews it, then once he's swallowed he backs up a few steps before jumping up and hauling himself up onto the lowest branch.

Scaling walls isn't a problem - neither is this tree.

Being in a tree means she can't exactly hug him so she leans down to give him a quick hongi and too bright smile,

"Sorry."

January in Venice in 1943 is a cold, miserable affair, and today has been particularly bitter. The weather in Milliways, by contrast, is mild and pleasant; Iago leaves his heavier overcoat inside and goes out in his regular winter Italian Navy uniform. It feels even warmer outside here than he had expected, and soon enough he's unbuttoning the uniform jacket.

It's when he's pushing the hat back - should have just left it inside, he thinks, he hates wearing it on his personal time - that he spots the girl in the tree. Interesting place to read, though she does look so thoroughly at home there that his curiosity is piqued a bit. He removes the hat entirely and moves toward the tree.

"Good book?" His voice and appearance are relaxed, genial, and fairly shout that he is completely harmless. To be fair, at the moment, he is. There's no reason right now not to be.

(Tiwa may note a resemblance to a certain Danish prince; Iago is more solidly built and not nearly so thin in the face, but it's still there.)

Tiwa hops slightly as any bird might if startled though she's still a bit on edge and her hair almost fluffs,

"Keeping me busy."

Then she gives him a headtilt as she peers down,

"Do you have a brother?"

"No, signorina, I'm an only child."

He has two brothers and a sister, but he finds that this answer can be helpful in avoiding tedious small talk. It's even less relevant than usual in Milliways, anyway, unless one of them has managed to find his way here. Possible, but unlikely.

The title makes her grin as she nods,

"Oh, well you do smile more after all."
