There is a Jake at the bar, happily jamming to... music that is nowhere in sight.

Nanites are helpful!

(He's also a little bit younger than Chuck's Jake.)

But apparently not younger enough to register (at least not from behind). You can tell, 'cause Chuck just covertly snuck up behind Jake for a SNEAKY HUG AND A KISS on Jake's neck.

Psh, he's totes allowed to do that. He has the wedding ring to prove it.

"Hey."

Chuck coming up behind him registers about a half a second before the hug, enough time that Jake doesn't, say, judo-flip Chuck as he is being hugged. But the hug, and the kiss, is a little bit of a shock for Jake, and there's a sharp intake of breath.

"--hi."

...Whoops. Chuck still has the arm cast thing on, doesn't he? Clearly that's the only reason for hesitation.

(He'll catch on soon, promise.)

And settling his chin on Jake's shoulder. "Watcha up to?"

The explosion does not go unheard, given the presence of a spy sitting (cross-legged and utterly harmless), at the bar.

When the box is connected to a face, she stands immediately and gives him a distinct look. "Chuck."

Honestly, he should know better by now.

His distracting perfectly adorable geek!grin should put her off the trail, right?

No?

How about the greeting kiss, then?

That's the one thing about geeks they fail to mention in school: they know how to kiss.

And, as such, it is enough of a distraction. Scolding is abandoned for proper husband greeting instead.

It's very, very true, really.

And then, when the kissing is done, it's time for greeting: redux.

"Hi."

One door closes... and then the same door opens again.

An agent walks in with sunglasses over his eyes, wearing a suit. And then spots his husband.

Ninja-kiss!

V. giant grin.

"Hey."

[twopointohbaby]

"Hey yourself," Jake grins back, wrapping his husband into a hug. "Funny how this whole... bar works. Because now I vaguely remember meeting a future version of you.

"And how amazingly attractive you were. Are."

[talldarkngoofy]

"So that totally worked out, then, good."

:D

And removing Jake's sunglasses cause his husband has nice eyes and Chuck should clearly be able to see them. "Sorry about startling you at first."
