A tiny blond boy wanders in, blinking when this isn't his preschool's playground.

She smiles and gestures for him to come over. She isn't an old woman, not even close, but there is a motherliness, a wisdom in her eyes.

"Come here, little one, mi niñito."

She's a nun, he can see that as well as feel it, so she isn't really a stranger. He toddles over and hugs her leg.

She lifts him up into her lap.

"Hello, little one. What brings you here, eh?"

She smiles. It's good to see children. There were so few of them for a time, when the Great Panic hit and everything went to--

Well to a very bad state of affairs.

After her time in the army, she'd taken some time within the convent to clear her mind and her soul, to settle. As such, and because there was still very little need for middle-school teachers, she hadn't seen children (and not little ones) for some time.

Sebastian Caine. Proof that Brilliance does not conform to a schedule.

Case in point. It's now 1:00, and he's looking for a beer on his lunchbreak. His rationale behind that it's five o' clock in most Asiatic countries. He'd name them off, but food is kind of crucial.

Only-this is not his usual washington DC haunt.

"-What in the fucking he-"

A Nun.

In a Bar.

A Nun.

She's packing heat and a machete, if that makes you feel any better.

Sebastian Andrew Caine! Watch your language young man! The good lord did not invent mouths so that you could profane him!

Sebastian reels. Bad memories of Catholic school.

"....Sorry sister." he lowers his head, genuinely chagrined "-I just-did Frank move the bar around this isn't-" He waved a hand, "...This isn't my usual-where I-lunch place."

She nods.

"Nor mine. This is somewhat..."

She looks around, obviously nostalgic for something.

"Nicer, I am sad to say. And not nicer, in a way. There is no closeness here. That is... one of the few things we gained."

The young man who just walked in, crucifix on a chain under his shirt, pauses to give her a respectful nod.

"Morning, Sister."

She smiles brightly at him.

"Good morning, dear. What brings you here?"

"Oh, just finished a meetin' in the city so I'm takin' a break. Uh... you?"

She shrugs.

"I've been brought here. I like to think I am here because He has given me a short period for peace that does not take valuable time away from my efforts. A break."

She smiles.
