He's been better and he's been worse, but he's never liked being stuck someplace. He certainly hadn't liked it at the Havens and he hadn't really liked it much in Trinity either. There's a girl watching him carefully, wondering exactly what's going on.

It didn't seem like that -- well, he was a bit in-between the ages she'd seen him at and -- she blinked and stepped over to him, tapping his shoulder very timidly.

"Papa?"

His eyes lift, shifting from a thoughtful green to a curious blue.

"Are you looking for--"

...she was green. Her skin was green. Green was her skin. Her skin green was.

And he only thought there was no place like home.

She ducked her head, looking mildly embarrassed. Her cheeks were a lovely shade of pine green.
