Fortunately, where he had intended to be is caught in a time-freeze as of the moment he steps over the threshold into the bar, so when his door disappears, he isn't as mad about it as he could have been.

Although the last time he appeared here was some time ago, he remembers enough to start walking

He's the one who's not Antoine so Tiwa sends a paper airplane made from her homework with some magic on it straight towards his drink.

"And you've faced them before?"

"I've encountered him once before, but really had to match wits, no."

"Who's him?" She offers him a date scone.

"Ah - a British agent. And a bit of a tragic case, if I read his file right."

[pi_wakawaka]

"Oh why? Tragedy isn't good for you, too much darkness changes you."

[ofgreatinterest]

"He tends to make very little of the lives he associates with," Dominic says, shrugging.

He'll leave that open to interpretation.

Its a very strange phrase and Tiwa gives Dominic another long look,

"What about you?"

[ofgreatinterest]

"I'm a philanthropist - I can hardly say I act the same."

[pi_wakawaka]

"That's good I guess. Why do give then?"

[ofgreatinterest]

"To help the earth. For centuries, we've been destroying it, it's about time we gave back."

[pi_wakawaka]

She gives him another look, trying to figure out how sincere he is. He's not as easy to read as Antoine,

"Yup."

[ofgreatinterest]

He'd probably find Antoine a bit pathetic, to tell the truth.

[pi_wakawaka]

"Do you have a favorite place that you're protecting?"

[ofgreatinterest]

"Not any specific place," he replies, "Just whatever I can."

[pi_wakawaka]

He gets another long look, "So nowhere that inspires you?"
