Elias slides around on the hardwood in his socks while he's bussing tables.

He brings Charlie a coke, kisses his cheek, and slides off to the next table.

Charlie watches him go, smiling, and sips the Coke.

It's a bit--or a lot--like dating a kid.

But he's okay with that.

Well, Elias really is still a kid. In some ways more than others.

A while later he plops down next to Charlie with a second coke and a basket of hot french fries.
