"They can be a little startling at first," says a girl nearby, "but you get quite used to it after a while."

"Oh. Well, I've seen a lot of different things lately," Sookie says, "but never anythin' like this."

She decides to order a drink. Maybe it'll help her relax.

"I believe that's generally the feeling for everyone," she says, "even for those of us who come from worlds where magic exists."

She sweeps a hand across the space, smiling.

"Welcome to Milliways, bar at the end of the universe."

"The end of the what now?" Her drink arrives, and Sookie takes a decent sip from the glass, hoping that the alcohol will give her some clarity.

"Well, I don't know about magic, but where I come from, there are plenty of crazy things happenin'."
