Meeting an adult Severus Snape has left Lily Evans with quite a lot on her mind, and when Lily needs to think....well, it's best to be somewhere that Sirius Black isn't, frankly, which leaves out her home or her usual haunts, just now ( Read more... )

There's a teenage boy nearby, with familiar green eyes and a lighting-shaped scar on his forehead.

Harry hasn't noticed Lily at this moment--he's been rather preoccupied with his own meeting with Severus Snape.

Lily, preoccupied as she is, manages to spill her tea on herself.

"Blast," she says, and cleans it up with her wand, then stands up to get a refill, at which point she sees Harry and lights up, moving toward him.

He looks up at the exclamation, and his eyes widen.

He can't speak. Mum....

He remembers what Snape had told him--that a teen-aged Lily was present in the bar. But he can't stop thinking Mum mum it's Mum....

The look on his face stops her in her tracks.

The Harry she knows hasn't looked at her like that since their first meeting....which means, of course, that this isn't the Harry she knows.

She can't help but wonder how many sons she has, how many orphaned, lonely, abused, miserable Harry Potters are out there in the multiverse.

It makes her want to hit her sister. A lot.

"....Harry, dear," she says quietly, and steps closer.

Oh, look. It's another redhead with her own schoolbooks, pouring over what just might be advanced algebra. She looks more than a bit oblivious.

Lily has tea, the aroma of which is rich and quite good.

It's vaguely mango-scented, in fact. Lily likes it.

ooooh. Tea has always turned Pepper's head. Looking up from her books, she smiles at the other girl. "What is that that smells so good?"

"Mango ceylon tea," Lily says, returning her smile. "It's quite good, if you'd like a cup."

It is because she did look approachable and perhaps even a little like his own Verline that Rossamünd made his way near to her and scrambled up into a booth near hers.

A little lost at what he should do with himself, he sat and took off his salumanticum as well as his satchel, and put them a farther into the booth. Then he put his hands into his purse and pulled out what money had had on him at the moment.

Thankfully, a lamplad was taught to be prepared at all times and so his purse was with him even as he'd been heading down to the Low Gutter. The pickings were meager, but he was hopeful as he hadn't seen the bill of fare yet.

Lily has tea, mango ceylon, very potent and sweet-smelling.

If she knew he was there, she'd offer him a cuppa.

The scent of the tea drew his attention and had him pulling his thrice-high from his head to turn about and look. He'd had Juice-of-Orange while traveling with Miss Europe, of course, and he'd thought it a truly exotic and wonderful treat but this smelled even more strange and lovely.

And yet, he couldn't be rude, so little eyes merely watched her for the moment, ready to turn should she notice.

"Hullo," Lily says, and looks up at him with a friendly smile. "I'm Lily. The tea smells nice, doesn't it?"

[ooc: hope you don't mind a tag from Hermione?]

Hermione comes into the bar with a handful of parchment rolls, ready to get some homework done for her Ancient Runes class when she spots Lily.

She actually thinks that this girl - seeing her from the back - is Ginny at first.

"Oh, Ginny - there you are. You wouldn't believe the day I've had," she says exasperatedly.

Lily looks up, smiling pleasantly. "I'm not Ginny, I'm afraid. But feel free to tell me about it."

OOC: Not at all, as long as you don't mind slowtime.

[ooc: slowtime's good for me!]

"Oh! I'm terribly sorry," she says at once, eyes wide. "I thought you were someone else."

She lets out an embarrassed laugh.

"She has the same hair as you do."

"No, in fact. Only three days so far, but it's been quite interesting."

She smiles back, offering her hand. "I'm Lily Evans."
