"So my theory's proved. Merlin, it took me years to stop burning pancakes, nevermind cookies."

She laughs. "And then things would get so very messy and I would just die. I'm horridly neat when I can be."

"Oh, come on. I bet your cooking's fine," he says apologetically, although the corners of his lips are turned upwards.

"Now," she admits with a smile. "My cooking is just fine now, but it took a good twenty or so years for it to get that way."

Andromeda shakes her head. "That they do."

"Sadly, no. Can't do that myself."

She shakes her head.

He smiles crookedly.

"Well, I'm still impressed."

"I try to stay away from those sort of curses," She admits, "I've seen too many people killed by them."

Most of them had been family in one way or another.

"... Our conversations just tend to circle back to that subject, don't they?"

"It's more my fault than yours," she admits with a shake of her head, deciding to amend things by bringing out her wand and muttering a small spell that had little birds fluttering out of the tip of it to circle above them for a minute before they dissipated into smoke.
