As soon as Ava hits the ground, she's up again, scanning the room with wide, frantic eyes. One hand comes to her neck, touches lightly; finding nothing wrong and neither Sam nor Jake in sight, some of the panic begins to fade

A glass shatters over by the Bar, spilling whiskey and Coke on the floor -- but there are a lot of people here, and therefore a lot of background noise, and it's not that loud in comparison to everything else going on.
A little more noticeable might be the panicked cursing of Andy Gallagher and the clattering of a falling stool as he attempts to climb over the Bar.
Andy falls, and the worst thing about this is that he's still on the side of the Bar he doesn't want to be on.
(The second worst thing is that he lands right in his spilt drink.)
"Ow, shit, no no no--" He clambers back to his feet, looking anywhere but at Ava, but he can't find an easy enough escape route. "--I mean, yeah, okay, kinda almost gotten over the whole dead thing now, but this is just a whole other level. Why are you here?!"
Ava's not sure whether to laugh or just find him kinda pathetic. Hard to believe they're part of the same demonic plan, really.
(But she does have to hand it to him for hasty acceptance of his demise.)
"That's a question for our buddies Sam and Jake, don'tcha think?" she says with a smile, taking a step forward. An appreciative glance around the room. "What is this, some kinda mind game? Honestly I didn't think either one of them had it in 'em."
A tilt of her head.
"Or that it'd work on me. But I guess people can surprise you, huh?"
"That seems to be the general occupation of people in this place."
President Ashton wouldn't know anything about that of course. Nope. Totally ignore the glass of Tequila beside him pls. thnks.
He hesitates, staring at her for a moment, "...Although I'd guess your age in your early twenties-and nobody that young should have any cause for drowning their-proverbial sorrows."
The President's brow furrows, "Bar's a really relative term though. I think I prefer "Family restaurant slash meeting place at the end of the Universe. Fuck, I don't think anyone uses the bar."
He eyeballs the bar, suddenly relieved his bodyguards around, "You've seen the window, have you seen the backyard yet?"
Ken has shed his suit, tie, and secret service apparal for something more akin to his actual nature- Black Leather Jacket, Black pants, and a really nice pair of sunglasses.
He feels good. he's just spent an entire afternoon ordering in Spanish and the wait rats understand him. Let barnes suck up to his boss! That guy was welcome to keeping the President Safe. This-this was a real TASTE of freedom...
ABOUT TO BE RUINED by that little BITCH-
"Hey, sweetheart-you mind?" He eyeballs Ava, "You're kind of blocking the window."

The clattering and climbing?
Not so much.
Ava's expression as she turns to Andy could nearly qualify as 'horrorstruck.'
"... Okay, I totally just killed you."

He pours himself another glass, shrugging.

"... Twenty-three, actually," she says, turning to him and giving him a slow, appraising once-over.
Doesn't look like much of a threat.
(Of course, if this is all some psychic mind trick, it doesn't really matter what he looks like. In the meantime she'll play along.)
"And, uh ... where are we, exactly?"

Then she turns in an apologetic blur.
"Oh God, yeah, sorry!" Scooting hastily to the side, "Is this any, uh, better?"
