Inyri has been in the bar long enough for the bruise on her head to fade to nothingness.

Long enough for the ones on her ribs to stop hurting. And the longer she stays (the longer she stays with him), the more she doesn't want to leave. She has no reason to leave. Why would she want to go back to a man that hits her ( Read more... )

There is a dark blot in the fun.

He doesn't mean to be, it's just...he's trying to be happy and engage in his favorite activities and it's not working anymore. He's staring at a sudoku puzzle that he finally sets on a table near his seat, tapping the pen against the tabletop.

Wes has clothes that fit him, thanks to Bar, plus a chocolate milkshake. He's not wearing the chocolate milkshake, though.

He weaves through the bar towards the couch when he spots Inyri, and sits on the arm of a nearby chair

He smiles at her. "Hey."
