The woman who steps into the gym looks a little familiar, and then again she doesn't. She is wearing grey sweatpants and a white tank top over a white sports bra; as the door closes behind her, she stands near it with her hands folded and watches Bryce.

Sherlock gets to her feet in no hurry, moving easily. She doesn't seem combat-ready at all; but then, she didn't seem combat-ready right before she threw that punch, either.

"You could have just asked."

"Would you have told me the truth?"

[gothamsheiress]

"I guess we'll never know now, will we?"

[calendarofcrime]

"I don't believe you would have."

[gothamsheiress]

"No?"

[calendarofcrime]

She laughs.

[gothamsheiress]

Bryce gives her a stony look and starts unwrapping her right hand -- the wrap has gotten loose during the scuffle.

Sherlock shrugs and turns away.

[gothamsheiress]

"Next time," Bryce suggests, low and even, "ask. Not everyone is as disinclined towards killing as I am."

"The risk of your being able to kill me is low," she says over her shoulder.

Bryce rolls her eyes.

[calendarofcrime]

Sherlock isn't looking, but you get the sense she saw it anyway.

[gothamsheiress]

Bryce looks down at the ruined punching bag, then shakes her head and takes off the other wrap. No way to continue that workout now.

[calendarofcrime]

Indeed not.

Sherlock leaves without another word.
