The door opens, and a girl with a medium-long brown braid walks in. She's more focused on the paper in her hand than where she's going; it happens, when she's trying to edit her articles and ought to know where she is anyway. Her feet just kind of go on autopilot

There's a brown-haired girl sitting nearby, hunched over a very slim laptop.

"Sometimes the doors like to pop up in unexpected places," she says without looking up.

"Doors to where, and why would they?"
...That is a rather tiny laptop. Althea didn't know they came that small.

"Good question--no one's ever told me where this place is. It's not Milliways--bar at the end of the universe. Don't know if you've ever wandered in there. As for why....well, no one knows that reason either." Angie shrugs. "It gives me a quiet place to study. I'm Angela Cohen--Angie. New York, 2020."

All entirely truthful statements.

The sort of statements that would get 'what are you on?' looks in other circumstances, some of them. But this girl's not acting particularly sketchy, so she'll take it at face value. Makes more sense than a bar in a newsroom, anyway.
"Althea. DC, 2007."

She gets a wave from the young man sitting in the corner with the somewhat mismatched clothing and the wet hair.

"...I think I've seen you around town before."
Though not in that outfit, or that clean. And she can't think why he'd be at the Post - if they're still in DC, anyway.

"Probably," he agrees with a smile, much more outgoing now that a lot of questions have been answered.

"I do volunteer work all over."

[hermit_of]

She nods. "That would explain it. I've only been around the last couple of summers, but I think I ran into a few of the volunteer things."
