"Which monkey?"

Rose has not seen a monkey recently, but this place is strange enough (and that is really saying something, given her life recently) that she would believe that she has missed it.

Of course, given that the man is bursting in from elsewhere, it is entirely possible that his search is intended to be elsewhere.

"Madness is in the eye of the beholder. What may look insane from the outside may in fact be the sanest thing to do in any given situation, and you may have no way of knowing that unless and until you are there yourself," she replies.

Yeah. That sounds like something a crazy person would say.

"If you say so."

"Believe it or not, I have some experience with that kind of thing. Give it a try. I have not lied to you."

"Which kind of thing? Being crazy?"

[seeswitheyes]

"Being in a situation that might make one think that one is," she replies. Although she has never felt crazy.

"You mean beside this one?"

[seeswitheyes]

"Indeed."

[mm_anathomical]

"Sounds like there's a story there." Eliot doesn't sound like he's sure he wants to hear it.

"There is always a story," she points out. "The question is if you are interested in hearing it, and if I am interested in telling it."

"Wow. You sound like a fortune cookie."

[seeswitheyes]

"It is true though," she points out. "Are you interested?"

[mm_anathomical]

"In a fortune cookie? Sure, why not."

Rose rolls her eyes.

"You know that is not what I meant."

But she draws her wand (from, it appears, thin air) anyway, and levitates one over from someone's abandoned Chinese.

"Now who's making assumptions..."

Eliot trails off to stare intently at the fortune cookie. "Huh. Neat trick."

[seeswitheyes]

"It is not a trick," she replies. "Magic is real.
