There is a brightly clothed man sitting near Alec trying to read something written in a very old dusty book. The occasional bursts of flame are enough to distract the worried Brunnen G.

"How is that even possible?" asked Kai looking at Alec, "The flames I mean."

He looks up and over, not even blinking at the brightly colored man. "I goofed, that's how. You don't get the letters just right and the magic short circuits."

"Magic?" asked Kai raising an eyebrow, "Is magic part of your universe?"

It wasn't part of his, as far as he knew.

"Um... yes." He still feels off kilter when people ask that question. It's like asking if air is part of his universe.

It takes him a moment to notice it - the photograph is quite distracting - but when he does, he bends down and picks it up.

And then starts to read it.

He reads and mutters, "Blah, blah, blah, blah." when he finishes the letter. "I think you dropped this."

Ginger pulls one of the photographs out of the pile, eyeing it critically. "I see sanity hasn't come back into fashion yet. I keep holding out hope, but..."

"...."

"And hello to you too."

"With the amount of photoshop used on this picture you'd think she could have done something about her face," she observes. "And I've always thought the whole thing where women threw themselves at convicted murderers was particularly creepy."

"Yes. I think she's assuming I wouldn't be looking at her face," he says looking at the photograph. "And to be honest my sudden sweep in popularity has be quite befuddled as well."

He picks up a letter and reads it. "Dear Ashley, my dearest love. I want you to know that I don't believe anything that they said and that I will always hold a special place in my heart for you. I light a candle for you whenever I go to church and pray that you will be forgiven. Love Sarah. And she's left her phone number and address too."

Walking up behind Ashley she notices the pictures that come out of the letters.

"Seems like the Scarlet ladies if you can use the term ladies love you."

Ashley looks up at Ginny and manages a smile for her. Ginger appears to have gone off to explore anywhere but here, which was all the best for him. Having the two red haired ladies right there around him would be... uncomfortable at best.

"Ginny!" he said. "Yes, my fans are quite... um... eager."

Ginny smiles stepping around so she's not behind him.

"Yeah, I think they seem to be like Hey pick me I look good nude."

"I am a guy and thus must be driven by my hormones," he says with utmost deadpan certainty.
