Hello!
Today, I totally skipped from studying and translated this crosstalk.
I actually plan to translate Tsubasa x Tomo x Yuma for both lovely Pippa and Leslie. but this crosstalk (only) takes a longer time than I expected, so I don't have time to translate the other crosstalk yet orz Sorry TAT
I have a lot of things to say about this crosstalk but... *Sigh* Tired.
Can I spam this entry again tomorrow? *____*
P/S 1: Thank you Leslie (
heart283) for the proofreading =D
P/S 2: Sorry, no preview because scans are not mine (^^;;
P/S 3: I have the Japanese text of this crosstalk but there are many typos so I don't post it here. If anyone need it for study purpose, lemme know =)
Good night!
PLAYZONE 1986・・・2014
★Thanks! ~Theater Aoyama★
Each and every member wants to vent all of his feelings into the last Theater Aoyama show
4U.×TheyBudouדMAD”
Knowing their condition just by looking at each other’s face
Tatsumi: How was the show we did at Theater Nissay last January?
Fukuda: As it was a winter show, the atmospheric temperature was low but the temperature of our heart was…
Yamamoto: Very high!
Tatsumi: After the summer show last year, we were at different places doing different works, so I think the audience could see how we changed and grew up after going through various experiences.
Matsuzaki: The last performance of the first act,「What’s your name?」was very passionate.
All: That’s awesome!
Matsuzaki: I could feel everyone’s energy.
Eda: The fact that we didn’t do「Guys PLAYZONE」 leaves a deep impression, in a way.
Hayashi: Because even though we did it a little bit at the start, it was not performed for the actual show.
Ikeda: Plus, I think we could feel the difference in the staging? There are a lot of differences in the features and organization of Theater Aoyama and Theater Nissay, right?
Fukuda: That’s true. It's not about which one is better, but the feeling that each (individual) theater was able to show what it does best.
Matsumoto: The location of the dressing room is also different, right? In Aoyama, we could hear it if someone from another room is talking but in Nissay, we couldn’t hear it at all. (Laugh)
Hayashi: In Nissay, “MAD” and TheyBudou were in the same room, right.
Koshioka: And I often went to play there.
Tatsumi: Eh, this is the first time I heard about that though. (Laugh)
Ikeda: Matsu (Matsuzaki) also came a lot.
Matsuzaki: Ya. It’s like almost every day I borrowed Eda’s make-up tools without his permission.
Eda: They were borrowed.
Koshioka: I got Yamamoto to cut my hair.
Yamamoto: He was like「Ryo-chan, cut it~」(Laugh).
Tatsumi: …I didn’t know it even though we’re in the same 4U.. That’s a pure inside story. (Laugh) Only me and Fuku-chan (Fukuda) can't join in the talk then!
Fukuda: Well, the two of us went to eat together like every day, right!
Tatsumi: That’s true!
Yamamoto: Stop making up stories. (Laugh) But really, all of these members are very close, right.
Fukuda: During Theater Nissay’s shows, as for 4U., Theater Nissay's shows overlapped with the practices for "Endless SHOCK" and it was truly hellacious, but I'm very grateful that everyone supported us.
Ikeda: We memorized 4U.'s dance parts and made them copy it and stuff.
Tatsumi: These members were all actually from the same group, so the bond we have at such time is very deep. Plus, we knew each other well, so the moment we met each other’s face during the sound checking session, “Ah, this guy isn’t in a good condition!”, we’d immediately realize it. (Laugh)
Koshioka: True. We’d know the condition, right.
All: Indeed!
Matsuzaki: Well, no matter how bad your condition is, the moment you stand on the stage, you’d switch over and do it well and that’s what makes me feel like “YOU-tachi are awesome!” though. (Laugh)
Yamamoto: I feel like these members are already becoming a family for real. We can even speak out and exchange our thoughts with each other.
Hayashi: I think we’re a good team.
Ikeda: We’ll definitely not lose to anyone if it’s about team work.
Fukuda: Reflecting about it, I feel like we in the past were like the current Travis Japan.
Yamamoto: You’re right. Everyone was doing it recklessly.
Tatsumi: Because we also had such an era, we could tell them, "You've worked very hard, but you can actually do more!"
It's like the days we spent in Theater Aoyama were our youth
Tatsumi: Then, it’s about this year’s show though…
Yamamoto: As for TheyBudou, I think our team work has increased further after doing our first solo for the first time at” Johnny’s Ginza” this year, so I’m quite confident that we can show you something good by the three of us.
Eda: Ya.
Hayashi: That’s right. I think something good would come out, better than what we’ve performed up till now.
Yamamoto: The song is somewhat cute, so please look forward to how it would turn into if performed by the three of us. This summer is the Summer of THEY! How was that? Should we go with that?
Eda: Yeah, we'll go with that.
Yamamoto: Talk more! (Laugh)
Eda: …I’ll do my best. (Laugh)
Fukuda: We certainly could see the new aspect of you three in “ Johnny’s Ginza” so I’m looking forward to what you will show us this time.
Matsumoto: “MAD” also got a song to perform, so if you could kindly pay attention to it…
Ikeda: The melody also is good.
Matsumoto: Ya. We two are the smallest group so we’re thinking of something that only we two could do.
Ikeda: It’s a long-awaited chance, so it'd be good if we can show our appeal.
Matsumoto: And then of course, regarding the songs we perform with all the members, we want to show you the power of the whole cast united together.
Matsuzaki: But I think Kouta is gonna change this summer. To gain more muscles!
Matsumoto: You're going there!? (Laugh)
Tatsumi: There is the “power of you two”. I really feel that you two, having the pride of the group name, are working hard while thinking of various things.
Ikeda: We’ll do our best more and more!
Matsumoto: Please look forward to it!
Koshioka: Then, 4U. will perform the song we performed 2 years ago.
Tatsumi: It was the song we performed as the main for the first time, right.
Koshioka: Yes. So, our feeling toward the song are deep, and the feeling that we should show the progress we've made since two years ago is somewhat strong.
Fukuda: This time, the 4 of us had a proper talk and re-defined our direction in dealing with show from now on, so I think we'll be able to let our feelings show in a straightforward manner, and I'm confident that we'll be able to show the audience the growth we've developed from building on various experiences we've had.
Matsuzaki: Of course, we have the feeling that we won’t lose to any other group.
Fukuda: True. So, I hope the audience will look forward not only to our own performance but to the 4U. in the performances with all the members involved, because we're doing it with "we'll defeat Tsubasa-kun, Yara-kun and Yuma" feelings.
Tatsumi: That’s true.
Fukuda: Because "PLAYZONE" is a place where such things are permissible. Heightening feelings, raising the hurdle, let's do our best!... It's just that, if I could say one thing I'm concerned about, it's the temperature. (Laugh) If it’s this hot at this stage**, I wonder how it will be for the real show in July. Plus, the air-conditioning will be cooler if it gets hotter, so there will be a problem with the temperature difference.
(**The interview was done in the first 10 days of June)
Tatsumi: It’s not good if we don’t manage our physical condition properly! Including throat care.
Matsuzaki: …Then, this is the last show in Theater Aoyama!
Hayashi: That makes you feel lost.
Yamamoto: For 8 years consecutively, I’ve spent my summer going back and forth from Theater Aoyama. Thinking that this is the last year to do so makes me really lonely.
Tatsumi: It’s an everlasting memory, right. We ended up sweating even before entering the theater, and generally there are Kosshi’s and my tank-tops dried in 4U.'s room. (Laugh)
Koshioka: It’s really hot~.
Fukuda: And, competing to get the sofa for napping between afternoon and night shows. (Laugh)
All: There were such times!
Tatsumi: 「Are you still sleeping when it’s about to start, Ike (Ikeda)!!」something like that (Laugh).
Ikeda: Hahaha, that’s true.
Matsumoto: Another thing is everyone gathering in front of the shower room and talking about trivial things... That's youth~.
Tatsumi: It’s really a place filled with youthfulness. During Shonentai-san's shows, I always used to watch them grill fish for Shonentai-san's breakfast. So, my dream was, "Someday I'll act here and get them to grill fish for my breakfast here too." (Laugh) The fact that it won't become reality is somewhat... regrettable, perhaps?!
Matsuzaki: It's really been a place that let us learn a lot of things, so the feelings of “feeling lost” and “Thank you” all together are strong.
Yamamoto: So, finally Eda-chan will close it up.
Eda: …As it is the last show in the theater that has been used since Shonentai-san’s era, the place full of memories, venting all of our feelings into this show, it’d be good if we can do our best.
All: That’s nice~! (Clapping)
Favourite PLAYZONE Number
Tatsumi
●「KimagureOne Way Boy」. Because it’s the song that Travis said 「4U. goes well with rock」. I’m so happy that he pulled out our charm.
Fukuda
●「FLOWER」. I sang this for my solo performance in last year’s “Johnny’s Ginza”, so I have deep feelings for the tune itself, and it was so fun singing it with everyone in “PLAYZONE”.
Matsuzaki
●「LP Girl」. It’s Shonentai-san’s song. Everyone's costumes were colorful, and the mic-stands were glowing; it was a really cheery production. It was also fun seeing this from the audience seats.
Koshioka
●「Hoshikuzu no Spangle」. I simply like Shonentai-san's songs, and there is a pleasant memory about this song when the fans did a surprise for us in "Johnny's Ginza".
Yamamoto
●「Party ga Owattemo」. It is the last song we performed in Shonentai-san’s final stage which I participated in. It brings back so many memories, I get speechless.
Eda
●「Manatsu no Yoru no Hana」. We danced with exactly these members. It’s the song that I for the first time danced as the main in “PLAYZONE” and the song itself is so cool and I like it so much.
Hayashi
●「Unmei no Hito」. We did it in harmony with everyone and I think we made it sound really good. I also love singing so much, so this song in particular leaves a deep impression on me.
Ikeda
●「Guys PLAYZONE」. I love the point where we danced with all our might and used up all our energy. It gives a good feeling, and the feeling of "We've done it!" after we've finished dancing to the song is really great (Laugh).
Matsumoto
●It’s「ROAD TO PLAYZONE」. It's the song we all sang for the first time after being formed into this company. I think everyone can dance to this song if we play the music (Laugh). It can lift up your tension and it’s a good song.
Text Messaging Particulars
Tatsumi
● So, it's about the obsession we have in sending texts. I'm the phoning-type! (Laugh) If I text, I won't know my partner's feeling well, so I don’t really like it. Especially if I receive a long mail, I’d immediately call and make a direct conversation.
Fukuda
● I’m particular about the paragraphing timing. I’d do something unexpected or, like when the person read, he’d be “Eh, what an unexpected paragraphing at this timing!? …That’s pretty good!” Making him think so is my point. (Laugh)
Matsuzaki
● I always use music note mark. There are different feelings in the different tone of Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, Ra, Ti, Do. I think it’s a bit hard to understand though. (Laugh)
Koshioka
● I'm the type who doesn't really use pictographs or emoticons. I don’t like people to know my feelings. So I always asked Yamamoto, "Why does Ryo-chan use so many emoticons?".
Yamamoto
● I always use emoticons, because I think it’s the easiest way to express my feelings at the time. Conversely, I don't understand, the feelings of people who don’t use emoticons, like Eda-chan for example. (Laugh)
Eda
● I’m particular about writing the point I want to convey at the end. For example, when I want to convey my gratitude, I'd write "Arigatou" at the end of the message. Its seems like the last word written is the easiest for the human brain to remember.
Hayashi
● I always use the yellow sparkling and glittering mark in the pictograph. It's a mark that gives you a bright feeling, but even when I'm not particularly feeling that way (laugh), I pretty much always use it.
Ikeda
● I use a lot of emoticons. It’s amusing that I can make various patterns on my own. Recently I like the dejected face mark. I even have a towel with that mark. (Laugh)
Matsumoto
●I don’t arrange emoticons on my own, but I would use the ones set in the mobile phone when I bought it. Among those emoticons, the one I always use is the 4 leaf clover emoticon, I think?
Every time I read this, I'm all teary-eyed T^T
They are so precious!! I love them so much.
As for IkeKota, this is their first magazine appearance since their last appearance in WU January 2009 (Which was released in 2008)
Yudai,
After listening/ reading 4U. letters, how he said he thought M.A.D. were just a random group gathering random boys and he didn't feel them like a group, I feel like he's less affection towards the group compared to others like Ryota and Yuki but, he just made me cry when he said "These members are actually from the same group." and how he sees "MAD", and all his comments are just T^T touching!
Yuki is as always, loves THEY and "MAD" so much.
Tsu-kun is also, as always, being another good observer, just like Yuki. He didn't talk much other than "Un" (^^;; That's so Tsuyoshiish but... I wish he could appeal more but I just like the way he is.
Zaki-san talked nonsense. The music notes (^^;;; Anyone understand what he means?
Iketan!!!! Awwww~~~~ He's so cute and childish!!!! (>_____<) I love this boy so much!!!!
His narcissism! Everything is all cute about this boy.
Ryota and Iketan sound so childish especially in their comments about messaging.
As for Kouta, the 4 leaf clover just suits him. 4 leaf clover means "lucky", right? And it's always associated with "Happiness" and that's absolutely his name =)
By the way, my favourite Playzone numbers is definitely the ones "MAD" and Tsu-kun chose (and the same reason as Tsu-kun's for Manatsu~)
What about you?
