My son was given a deep fryer for Christmas from a mate and last night he was telling me about some of their more unusual food experiments, including deep-fried battered lamington fingers, and pie toasties. Fish and chips cooked in a deep fryer are really yummy, but a pie and lamington fingers?!! These young lads certainly have weird tastes.

You didn't take that photo of the truck while you were driving, did you? It's a wonder you didn't follow it all the way to where it was going. *bg*

Damn! I keep stopping to watch that cat thingy over there on the side. Where did that come from?

Weird tastes all right. He started off telling me about relatively normal stuff, battered chicken bits etc, and the choices just got odder as he went on. I can't imagine what made him even think of battering and deep-frying lamington fingers.

Have you any idea how difficult it is to fumble one-handed in your bag, extract camera from its case, turn it on and take a photo, all the while doing 100km/h along the motorway? Not the safest practice I'll admit but I couldn't let the chance go by.

I found the cat .gif on I Can Has Cheezburger, it was entitled "Opposable Thumbs" and I loved it! Glad you found it mesmerising.

ETA: truck was probably going to Adelaide; that was a little bit further than my destination
