Why is it that all the new point and shoot cameras with any good zoom range have a 10 second flash recycle time. This never used to be the case!

that really is pretty annoying _-_;
all new point and shoot cameras also have up to 7mp.
and a lot of them are on AA battery. i want my li-ion option.
