I would have thought Conan better versed in anime and its attendant subcultures.
And I hate pixelation; it only serves to draw attention to what's being "hidden" and distracts from plot development.

Conan is Conan and whether or not he's versed in anything doesn't matter... he still likes to ham it up for the camera. The world may never know...
