Very interesting read. Since I can be a fangirl at times, I realized that Bishounen has become a fad, but I didn't realize things like story or character backgrounds were being replaced by pretty visuals. Although, I should have. Considering the first thing when people consider when buying a game nowadays is how pretty the graphics are, and how now nice the character designs are. Not the fact that game could possibly be quite shitty, in terms of gameplay. This is why I'm starting not to play games as much. They're just not as much fun as they used to be. Minus gimmicky games like Katamari Damacy, that kept me playing for hours at at time. RPG's, however, I will play as long as the story is good (or, at least, interesting), despite the shitty game play (Read: Xenosaga Episode II [Mainly, because it's so short]).

But, yeah, I shall stop rambling, and say I quite enjoyed the editorial :3

Xenosaga is one of those games emblematic of the problem. Just watch Shion's wardrobe...shrinking...shrinking...shrinking...it's almost as if they're trying to bait us into cosplay...

True xD. I guess I'm in the minority that thinks that Shion's costume doesn't bother me nor look that bad (honestly, I can see her wearing something like that, mostly because I don't see her as naive like everyone else does. I just see her as someone who throws herself into her work, and ignores everything else, basically), but at the same time, it does not drive me to cosplay whatsoever :x Not that I cosplay to begin with...(Although, I do see this happening, if it hasn't already).

I like the ideas behind Xenosaga, I just wish episode II was included in the first game (seriously 30-ish hours of gameplay. That's it, not enough hours to warrant another game.)

She's not bothering to button her shorts anymore.

That goes beyond workaholism.

Why do I feel a subtle stab at me, personally, in there?

Satirical, witty, totally biased, and very amusing.

And this coming from an outsider to fanfic.

Someday I'll be able to brag that I once knew you, and I have the pictures to prove it.

May I ask what the first editorial was about? An interesting read, although it's not as though RPG's don't cater to a male audience with female eye candy (and have been doing it for far, far longer...)

The first editorial was about the old school v. new guard.
