Spock had been analyzing some rock samples. He had felt nothing. He did not feel anything at the moment his captain died. He feels nothing.
I was sad for Spock. But I could understand him quite well. *sigh*

Grief is a small weight below his heart, a welcome friend, connecting him to the world and giving it meaning once more.
This line was brilliantly written!

Great story! And the song was absolutely wonderful! Listening the song and reading the story - perfect, just perfect! I loved it!

I was sad for Spock. But I could understand him quite well. *sigh*

Ah, thank you. Even in sad stories, I'm happy if I can catch some kind of feeling like that...and in a way I feel like the story has a happy ending, in a sad way. (That probably makes no sense at all...)

The song worked so wonderfully, I was so happy when fictionalknight chose it!

*wibbly smile* I'm glad! I guess. :) Kirk dealing with Spock's death (or not, as the case may be) we see in the movies...but Spock dealing with Kirk's death is left up to us to imagine, and I kind of like that...
