I refresh my friends list before heading out to run errands, see you posted the this installment, read it quickly and now I will be worrying until the next chapter (even though I know it will eventually end well) as to how much pain Clark is going to suffer.
But I did truly enjoy the back and forth on between Clark and Bruce on the whole feeding thing. Bruce - Only needed once every two weeks or so; Clark - more often would be fine... That was just great.

*grin* It wouldn't be a vampire story without a cliffhanger somewhere!

Poor Clark! He's all, "Um, we could do it again pretty soon! *tries not to look too hopeful*" :) Bruce is going to have to find a way to reach a happy medium with Clark eventually... :)

Bruce is not going to put up with any guff from other vampires! :D Fiorella has no idea what she's gotten herself into, I believe. :)
And yes, Clark is a couple of steps behind Bruce this time around, but I do believe he'll catch up soon...

What an excellent, creepy, easy-to-follow action sequence...
But the shwo got stolen by... Bruce closed the closet door with perhaps more force than was necessary. "Clark," he said, "If you don't know what we are to each other--what you are to me--you haven't been paying attention." I love the faint undertones of "I'm disappointed in you, young man!" Bruce is such a teacher. :P
Also... you got Batman to say Best Friends Forever! I am fairly sure there's a medal for that.

*grin* You know, that conversation was one of my favorites too. In my stories where Bruce figures out his feelings earlier than Clark, he seems to have a tendency to do the ostentatiously patient "I'm waiting..." thing... :)

Bruce is such a literalist! He isn't going to use it unless it's quite close to true. :) And now I have this image of him doodling BW + CK BFF in hearts in his notebooks, lol...

Very evil cliffhanger you have there, btw! Great chapter, though. :) Definitely looking forward to the next one!

(I'd be tempted to say that, in fact, bats probably hang quite nicely off cliffs, and hence make wonderful "cliff-hangers" but that's probably too dorky for words...)

Grrr, kill them Bruce. Killll themmm....
Ahem.
Bruce is, as always, an adorable little minx. Sure Bruce, your choice of attire has absolutely nothing to do with how stunning you look in it. ;) He reminds me of a cat here, pouncing on Clark after feeding, simultaneously playful and sensuous. Such a playful kitten our Bruce is.
And Clark is so (as strange as it sounds) shyly demanding. Almost insecure of the place he has in Bruce's life. Poor dear. Hopefully in the next installment, Bruce can show off his protective side? Especially since Clark has now lost the cross.
You know, I just realized something. Bruce really had no intention of dying last chapter, did he? Or if he did, he'd only accept his end at Clark's hand. Because if he really believed he was too dangerous too live, he'd have staked himself. Subconsciously, he must have really wanted to live after all.
Well, that's that for the conjecture. Happily looking forward to the next installment!

*happy grin* Bruce to the rescue!

Um, yeah...I have to admit that Bruce could certainly have found some way to finish himself--I mean, a shuttle into the sun would have done it if nothing else. He has a very strong survival instinct as well...and in part I agree with what you say, that as badly as he felt about it, he'd really rather have Clark do it than do it himself. ;)
