Oh god I was not expecting that plot twist. CLARK YOU SAP.

When my beta gave me that suggestion I sat down and wept with joy that I had finally found a way into this sequel. AT LAST.

And I have now written almost-coffeeshop-AU Bruce, my life is complete! :D

Would you believe I have another story in the pipeline for these two already? I'm so happy my one-shot mojo might be coming back a little...

They're so adorable and of course Clark wears plaid flannel pajamas because I just can't see him in silk plus he knows about house fires so he'd never sleep naked and the plot twist nearly killed me and I want to read more kissing and snappy dialogue and I love your writing!

Holy run-on sentence, Batman!

This is the best run on sentence I love it thank you! :D

I'm so glad I could surprise you a bit with the twist! These two, they've always got surprises up their (silk or flannel) sleeves for me, even now...

Tonight should have been the night that that they had something that might be a first date.
WOW

It was a date, and he knew that because he’d been hacking into the Fortress computers and reading Clark’s diaries, so he was perfectly aware Clark considered it a date..
Oh my gosh, “hacking into the Fortress computers and reading Clark’s diaries”...

“I can handle myself!” Batman snarled back without thinking, and heard Superman’s snort.
He sure can :)

He had finally closed the loophole and reset all the passwords, but not before it had dawned on him that he had violated Clark’s privacy and meddled in his life for no better reason than it made Bruce feel good.
Oh

“Tomorrow it is,” Batman said.
YES!

“Well, if something does go wrong, I can have you out of them in a jiffy,” said Clark. His brain seemed to catch up to his words and he looked flustered. “...And into your suit, of course. Is what I mean.”
:lol

Clark was looking at him oddly. “You worry about these things too much ( ... )

I can't remember if you read the original story this continues from! I'd wanted to continue it for SO LONG but couldn't find the way until now at last...

It was actually really hard to get the time travel to work okay--why DOESN'T he just fix everything if he has that ability? It was hard to answer that (and kind of angsty in implication!)

But yay, they finally come together at the end and all is well, I'm so happy! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thank you for letting me know. *hugs*

he had started doing little favors inspired by Clark’s entries. Just little things, hardly worth mentioning. Tiny little things.

*gigglesnorts* Yes, they were only tiny little things, of course they were! :P

“Little” favors like redesigning the satellite towers, or finding out-of-print books Clark was nostalgic about, or scouring Ebay until he found a copy of Clark’s childhood bike, and coming up with an excuse to let him “find” it.

Batman took a deep, gulping breath. His heart was pounding.

You are such a dork, Bruce! *hearts him*

“Shall we try again tomorrow?” He smiled, and it was Clark’s shy smile, not the gleaming, assured smile of the Man of Steel. “I was really looking forward to it.”

Eeeeee, Clark! *hearts him too*

“Well, if something does go wrong, I can have you out of them in a jiffy,” said Clark. His brain seemed to catch up to his words and he looked flustered. “...And into your suit, of course. Is what I mean.”

Eeeeeheehee!

Hahaha, oh my God, I love how you find all the moments with Clark on re-reading and see the extra meanings. I loved loved writing them!

“A temporal--” Clark looked slightly alarmed. “Do you know what’s causing it?”

CLARK!!! You-! CLARK.

I LOVED THAT LINE! He isn't lying, he is in fact somewhat alarmed! Has Bruce figured it out so quickly? :D

this meant infiltrating CelestialDollars and posing as a barista for fifteen minutes

Oh my god, I have this fantastic image of Batman the barista now... :D

By the time they got to that first kiss, he figured, he was going to be an expert in Clark Kent.

Bruce!

I have finally had a day in which I got everything right, in which I let no one down, and no one was caused pain or grief due to my failure. I could ask for nothing more in my life.”

Bruce! *hearts him*

“It was a violation of your privacy. It was creepy and wrong and I’m sorry. My only excuse is that I am madly in love with you, and that’s not an excuse at all, I know.” He glared at his feet. Stupid feet. “And now, even though I am ashamed and angry at myself and you’re probably furious, now this day is truly perfect.”

BRUCE!!!! (Also, stupid feet! :D)

He loved him so much it actually made his ribs ache, he realized.

*squees*

“I…” Bruce paused and turned Clark’s confession over in his mind, trying to decide what to say about it. Eventually the sheer scientific ( ... )

I HAVE WRITTEN BRUCE THE BARISTA NOW, my life is complete. :D I love imagining him focusing really hard on making perfect coffee...

OH MY GOD, THESE TWO MASSIVE DORKS.

Writing Bruce's reaction to the idea that spinning the Earth backwards would turn back time was so fun! IT'S SUCH A STUPID IDEA.

I'm so happy this could give you a giggle and a smile! It made me beam to write it and even happier to share it!
