OMG! *inept flailing*

What a powerhouse of a chapter. Lois' pining and Clark's sudden hope and then Ra's! Ah boys, your game is up. Totally love the Kryptonite sword. Gah, and the ending. They're so screwed and yet have so much faith in the other.

I'd had that darn Kryptonite sword in my head for ages, so when you posted the scans I was delighted to see it, lol! Yay for Kryptonite swords, ludicrous as they are in practice!

They're so screwed and yet have so much faith in the other.

*claps happily* That's just the tone I wanted to get, that no matter how crazy and impossible everything becomes, their faith is never shaken... (and is justified to boot!)

*grin* I had a lot of fun with the plotty bits of this arc, although it was damn hard to get them all in place at times...

Well, I wasn't sure where this was going but it's one helluva twist with Clark getting drugged like that and poor Bruce getting left out in the cold...

That really wasn't Clark had in mind when he'd agreed to take Bruce's place.

*bites nails*

I hope you update again soon.

He really hadn't counted on the drugs. I had a hell of a time struggling with trying to foreshadow that without tipping off Clark something was up and just couldn't do it--all I could get in is that there was a break-in a few chapters ago at Metropolis Hospital (where a ninja stole Superman's medical records...but if any evidence of that had been left Kal would have been so much more on guard!)

Oh, I hate to think of what Ra's is going to do to Clark. But on a brighter note, Batman is sure to find a way to get him out.

I definitely need to post the scans from "Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader," because it was a thrill to see Gaiman riffing on the theme that Batman is the essence of human perserverance. He never gives up until he dies. No matter what. With any luck I can brush across the same themes he hit so well.

I hop Bruce will be able to save Clark! Although I like your angsty stuff, I can't wait to see them bach together.

They're never truly apart. *grin* But I know exactly what you mean here too. :)

Ooooh! I loved this part!

I wasn't expecting Clark to agree to working with Ra's -- I probably should have, but somehow I expected him to barge in, grab Bruce and fly out. lol! But then, that sounds like something Bruce might do - not Clark... Anyhoo...

This is so plot intensive, and I really, *really* love that! :D I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next and how they get out of this. :D

*grin* Another good example of the difficulties of writing plot with these two--it's not the saving Bruce that's the problem, it's the finding a way to keep it from being too easy. :) At this point he's just trying to get Bruce away from Ubu enough to give him a fighting chance, not wanting to risk it--but then he hadn't counted on Ra's coming up with a drug that works on him...

Plots have a tendency to fall apart with Clark and Bruce in them because they unravel everything by being so awesome, lol. I'm glad this one is holding up to some extent!

*giggles* it's definitely not easy when you're dealing with characters who can break things with their awesomeness alone. ;)
