I adored Gimli's reactions to the biscuits, Thror's interactions with Thorin and Bilbo while sound of mind, Bilbo's hobbitishness in reaction to the stimuli of Erebor and Dale (on oh my heart he tried to grow violas there, ow), and OH THE HUSBAND ARGUMENT. I'm hoping for a wedding now, to appease Bilbo's traditional inclinations :3
AND THE KISS. THANK YOU FOR THE KISS. A subtle, small thing, as it should be with the two of them, but so vital.
so much happiness <3

Yavanna/Aule! Now I want to write a bunch of extra stories about them, because they're such an interesting couple, fractious and loving and wonderful...
And it was so much fun to write an unfallen Dale! They don't know how lucky they are...
Yay for kisses! *grin*

“Thrór came close and put his hands on Thorin's shoulders, looking deeply into his eyes. "Oh, child," he said after a moment. "I am sorry ( ... )

But I'm working on a sequel, I promise! *bounces*
I felt so sad for Thorin, writing this chapter--his grandfather, and realizing that Bilbo is going to leave, and knowing that they won't be reunited after death...it's been hard on him!
And Bilbo reminding Thorin that things could be worse in another world seemed so like Bilbo--and of course so true, poor dears. :(
Thank you so much for the lovely comment and for brightening my day!
