Let's Talk January: Favorite Place to Visit in Japan

Ilyena_Sylph on Dreamwidth asked about my favorite place to visit in Japan. That would have to be specifically Daitokuji Temple in Kyoto! Daitokuji is a compound of little tiny Buddhist temples, many of which have a beautiful little garden attached to them where you can sit on a sun-warmed wooden veranda and contemplate the meaning of life

Oh, it looks and sounds so peaceful and serene... lovely!

It's really nice! And surprisingly quiet, if you go in the middle of the week you might be the only person there.

Those first and third pics look intriguing. But I love the second one - it looks so peaceful. Would love to walk through the grove one day... *dreams about it* :)

Yessss, you must come! That little temple is one of my favorites--in the fall all of the maples turn brilliant red and it's so beautiful...
