Muaha, I'm hoping all those visions come clear eventually! :) Yay for Galadriel's Mirror, that was a real thrill to write... Thanks for coming along with Thorin and Bilbo (and me!)

Bilbo and Thorin looking into the Mirror! How wonderful. You wrote that scene beautifully. And what a sweet, memorable moment for Bilbo to experience the hummingbirds all about him.

I've been looking forward to posting this chapter forever--the Mirror scene was amazingly fun to write and so I'm really glad you enjoyed it. And I had that image of the hummingbirds so clearly, I just had to run with it...

OK, Galadriel and Celeborn in Old Married Couple mode might be the cutest thing I've ever read. I love moments that 'humanize' elves, when they come down to a more personable level rather than the ethereal high and mighty perch they tend to rest on.

*reads further, then* Alright, scratch that, no, Bilbo amongst the hummingbirds while Thorin watches adoringly is definitely the cutest thing. That's such a beautiful image, what gave you the idea?

THORIN SAW BILBO'S HOUSE. I know this isn't likely in the cards especially since Kingly Duty is a thing, but I'm now enchanted with the mental image of the two of them settled down in a peaceful old man retirement there together. <3 <3 <3

Those rare moments when elves show that they're people too make me so happy. :)

And I don't know exactly where the hummingbirds came from! I believe I saw one this summer, a more plain one, and got thinking about ruby-throated hummingbirds and how they look like little flying gems, which made me think of Thorin, of course, and it just went from there. :)

Ahhhhhhhh! *happy flailing* I understand why people really like to move Bilbo to Erebor when they're together, but I'm much more fond of the idea that Thorin could somehow move to the Shire. He and the world would have to be very different places, but--let's just say this series has a long way to go. *grin*

"You are not a tiny part of this world," Thorin said. "You are a large part of--well, of our world. Of my people, Balin and Dwalin and Fíli and Kíli. And myself, of course," he added in something of a rush. "What I mean is, the size of a person is no reflection of their importance in the world. As far as I am concerned, you are an important person, Bilbo Baggins."

"I saw just one image," said Thorin. "Just one thing." He tilted his head to the side, remembering. "A hill covered with flowers: white and purple, with yellow hearts, nodding in the breeze. The hill had a little round door in it, a green door. That was all. Flowers in the wind and a green door in a hill."

Oh what a wonderful twist! I hope Thorin figures out what it means, and I'm looking forward to find out what Bilbo's vision means, too.

About half of Bilbo's vision unfolds pretty soon, and the other half is quite a ways from now! *grin* Laying some groundwork for a continuation, with any luck... I'm looking forward to Thorin figuring things out as well! *baps Thorin a bit*
