He does, he really does! His wooziness in the face of danger endears him to me greatly--I think one of my favorite things about both his Watson and his Bilbo is how clearly terrified they are when their life is as risk, and yet how that doesn't keep them from action when it's necessary...

"Did I ever mention my father was an amateur prizefighter?" she said moments later, as John helped Sherlock up to his chair. "Taught me a few tricks."

MRS. HUDSON IS AWESOME.

Mycroft Holmes beckoned to the woman behind him. "Anthea?"

"Yes, Mr. Holmes?"

"Would you kindly punch my brother in the face for me?"

"With pleasure, Mr. Holmes." She put away her phone and cracked her knuckles.

"Oh God," said Sherlock.

If Mrs. Hudson wasn't so awesome, this would be my favorite, because... hee!

"I didn't say it was the only reason, did I?" Reaching down, he brushed Sherlock's hair off his forehead--one of the only spots left uncovered by ice packs--and bent down to kiss it

This was my first shot at writing Lestrade, so I was really happy it came through clearly! I could so see him being all proud of himself for getting a good shot in on Sherlock...

MRS. HUDSON IS THE BEST. I want every episode to show her hanging out with Sherlock and John at some point. I confess it, I didn't really fall in love with Sherlock until "Scandal," when he reacted to Mrs. Hudson getting threatened, so the two of them make me really happy...
