And of course, Bruce is still obtusely stubborn and insisting that he's damned and wretched and all that nonsense (I choose to read this as a sequel to your vamp fic whether you meant it that way or not). I love Dick so much, of course he'd just insistently treat Bruce like everything's normal just to try and edge him out of his broodiness.
Which left it a mystery why it was Clark who whispered "Thank you" later, as they slipped down together into sated sleep.
I'd be thanking Bruce too, DAMN.

I might have a little bit of a weakness for characters that insist they're damned and wicked while everyone around them clearly just adores them, and Dick is so perfect for that, he's just having none of that BS.
Yay, I'm glad this worked for you! *dances*

This was so perfect. Bruce's dogged determination to keep himself together, even when he had his doubts, and was starving, to boot, was so right, and Clark reminding him that it was all a choice, just, GAH.
*fans self, wibbles, applauds*

Bruce brooding and considering himself damned while Dick would have none of it was priceless. Dick knows how to nudge Bruce out of a mood! ;)
LOL at the casket. That was brilliant inspiration right there.
Clark wanting Bruce as much as Bruce wants him has to be there for the vampire/symbiote thing to work. It's the only way I write them as vampire/symbiote. Unless it's for dark_fest. ;)

I'm a big fan of vampirism as a metaphor for sex, so it's got to be enjoyable for both parties or it's just unpleasant for me. Self-indulgent, but still!
