Justice League 10: Written by GEOFF JOHNS; Pencils by JIM LEEI'm getting spoiled, because both the Justice League and Action Comics titles continue to have nice little glimpses of Clark and Bruce as friends. For example, the issue after showing Superman and Batman on their "lunch date" at Arkham, we get this exchange, in which the League discusses ( Read more... )

No idea, I am intrigued as well! I haven't read the most recent issue, it's possible there's more there?

I was going to ask the same thing. I'm as intrigued by that as I am by the Sups/Bats interaction.

Still no answer in #11, so it remains up in the air!

I'm so happy to see these glimpses of their friendship, too. I'm glad their friendship is establsihed this early, because I had feared it would take us years to get there all over again. :)

Agreed! I'm glad Johns didn't apply his weird "It's been five years but the character development is more like five weeks" tic to their friendship. :)

Awww, love those last two panels! How great is it that Batman doesn't deny that he trusts Superman?

That last one needs those dueling thought boxes from the Superman/Batman book, though, where we're treated to Clark and Bruce's innermost thoughts. Bruce: "Superman and I work together outside of this team." We spent all of last night 'working undercover' together. Clark: "Except I don't steal his girlfriends." What kind of a boyfriend would that make me?

But poor Aquaman. Doesn't he have any secrets?

Maybe Graves knows Aquaman orders the beef entree instead of the fish entree when he flies commercial. Heh.

It's weird about Aquaman--from reading his title I can assert he has a TON of secrets, all written by the same guy writing JL! It would have been really easy to write in a reference to the team he'd belonged to in the past or something...

I read Superman's assertion that Batman trusted him and was actually afraid to turn the page because I was so sure that Batman was going to say "Actually, I don't." But he doesn't deny it at all! And yes, I read the inner dialogue exactly as you did, lol!

Man, isn't he? It's ridiculous how pretty Lee draws him and (uncowled) Bruce. *sighs*
