Thanks so much! Clark and Bruce looking at the stars in their geeky-astronomer way makes me really happy. :) I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for letting me know!

Awww, this is cute. But did they really put the Fortress on the Moon in the reboot?! That's so weird! I can't picture it anywhere but the Arctic.

It seems that five years ago at least, Superman's Fortress was Brainiac's spaceship, repurposed so he can keep an eye on the bottle cities there and such. It's back where it belongs, in the Arctic, once we get to current continuity, though! I'm relieved--a satellite is kind of a cool idea in theory, but the Fortress needs the Northern Lights. :)

Yes, it does need them. For *cough*slashyromantic*cough* strategic purposes.

Bruce's awe at the stars is really sweet; I like how this version of him seems to have a little more humanity than we've been used to from the Bat in recent years. (A way in which the reboot isn't so bad, I guess).

Aw, it's over. *pout* A lovely way to end the series. I like that it's Clark that really galvanizes Bruce into becoming Batman. He was obviously planning on it on some level, but Clark was the final push for him. And them being all domestic on a fricking space station was just fabulous and so very them. Bravo!

Space station domesticity makes me happy to write! :D I love when they inspire each other to become heroes--they seem to take turns a lot in my stories, although the fact that Superman came on the scene first canonically probably means he's a little more likely to inspire Bruce than vice versa. :) I'm glad you enjoyed!

Hahaha! Yay! This series is so great! I makes me feel giddy along with the warm and fuzzies.

When I read Action this week I wanted to ask if you'd read it and squee over it with you at the unadvertised Justice Leuage/Bat appearance. Then I realized you'd have to had read it for this story. XD I love that they are both hinting around that they know the others ID but not coming out and saying it.

It was also interesting to see Naive Superman wanting to end hunger and take a proactive stance when in Smallville season 11, issue 2 that same week had an astronaught guy asking Clark why superman wasn't more proactive and Clark giving the answer pretty much what Batman gave about going into countries uninvited and such.

ANYWAY! Your birthday drabble is being worked on now and takes place between the pages of this issue of Action.

I have to put the scans up of that soon, it made me really happy to see it, even with Bruce being all Doom and Gloom Bat, lol. Yes, the secret identity foxtrot was so them and pretty hilarious. :)

I'll be curious to see if Morrison shows how Clark learns to temper his desire to change the world with real politics. It's not a very happy lesson to watch him learn, so I kind of hope he doesn't focus on it too much!

(But it does make good fic possibilities, doesn't it? I'm tickled about the drabble being set there!)

"I don't think so," said Superman mildly, looking down at the plans. "Fortress of Solitude, remember?"
:D

Superman was still looking down at the table, a very slight smile on his face. "Oh, I have no intention of it," he murmured.
Of course he doesn’t have. :) (And I liked the smile. :))

"I still can't believe you had a space capsule sitting around," Superman said as the door hissed open and Batman stepped out.
"Doesn't everyone?"
Ha-Ha.Nice! :D

"And see, it turned out it was a good thing, too."
True!

"I wasn't sure I'd ever live to see the Earth from space, and now here I am with my alien boyfriend--my alien boyfriend from Kansas,"
Alien boyfriend from Kansas - :LOL

"Let me show you the cities."
Ahem, after the kiss, seeing the beginning of the sentence (“let me show you...”) my mind went to weird places (I confess - nothing similar the cities :D).

Clark laughed. "I'm still working on a way to code the psionicloth to human genetics, by the way. Once I get that working you can have a suit made from it, if you like."WOW! (Yes ( ... )

*grin* Bruce having a spare space capsule around hit me as a funny--but rather plausible--thing! It can be fun to write someone so wealthy they can take things like that for granted...

"Let me show you..." I suspect he'll be showing Bruce something more along your thoughts soon enough! :)

The matching suits idea hit me because their suits already look so similar in the reboot, with the same kinds of funny lines and seams, you know? I like the idea that maybe they really are matching on purpose, not just by accident!

I was really happy to write that ending, because they hadn't had much time to be domestic in this story, had they? I like the cozy/strange mix that they can have sometimes... :)
