Mithen, you are like a terrible drug, whenever a new chapter of yours pops up, it's like an injection of endorphins and sweet sweet relief, but the chapter is never long enough, and as soon as it's over the cravings roll right back in, worse than before! Loved how you described Darkseid in this. You had me at 'malign granite', and it just kept getting better from there!

OMG! Batman sprayed with droplets of Clark's blood- yeah you got me there! I love Bruce chasing after him, and Clark, poor Clark, thinking no one will come. This was full of awesome!

I admit I really liked (??? You know what I mean) the detail of Clark's blood raining down on poor Bruce--my h/c junkie tendencies might have had a lot of fun with this sequence!

It's funny, I really wanted to replicate the canon events as closely as possible, but...I just could find no way that Bruce's little reveal and pep talk fit into an S/B story. He has more important things to think about than Hal! :)
