In the hopes that it will encourage me to get off my duff and add more Superman/Batman scans to my history, I promised myself I'd write a little bit of fic based on each thing I had left to scan.  That way, I'd have to post the scans to give context to the story.  Thus, we come to the end of Jeph Loeb's time on the Superman/Batman title, and a plot

I seem to recall a certain Shortpacked comic that looked almost exactly like that last page...until the last panel, which was Robin (the Shortpacked character, not the Batman one) yelling that they should just kiss already.

The Loeb run was so much fun, I miss it terribly. I wasn't actively reading comics during it, so I am so envious of people who were and could get an industrial-level dose of bromance each month...

Interesting detail there: Clark's mind races, probably because of his super-enhancement, and Bruce's mind is dark (no surprise there). That little exchange along could be worth a fic. :)

The mind meld is perfectly slashy and I always like when something like this happens and leas to more udnerstanding between them.

And everything that has Bruce speak Kryptonian is awesome! I love the idea that he would make the effort to learn it - for purely practical reasons, of course. *coughs*

It's a really nice capstone to Loeb's run, I think! As weird as the story around it is, it's a beautiful moment.

Bruce knowing Kryptonian is one of my Favorite Things Ever. I am holding out hope that and the Kryptonite ring will show up eventually in the DCnU...
