Yay Steel! And good to know Krypto has survived too. Poor Jor-El and Lara...whoever the artist was for that one, he rendered them gorgeously.

Yeah, Andy Kubert is the artist and I would make him DRAW ALL THE THINGS except he's notoriously slow (which is why he's only doing this one issue, lol). So, so pretty...

Haha. I was distracted by that t-shirt, too. It made me think of animated-verse Kara. Especially when it was in tatters. ;P

I love how Morrison again managed to take an origin story and adapt it without changing it too much with the Krypton backflash. (There can never be enough of this for me... *sigh*)

I know people complain (with reason) that Superman's origin story gets redone too much, but...I just love seeing it. Especially when the changes are fairly minor, I just take it as all retellings of the same story anyway and it doesn't bother me...

How does Morrison make everyone so awesome? So many things to flail over!!!

Steel! Wow, I'm really loving Steel here, he's so cool! And KRYPTO. KRYPTO IS ALIVE, YAY!!! :D :D He has to taken out of the Phantom Zone, though! And soon! And Lara! 'My place is by your side, Jor-El, until the end of the world'. *wibbles* And then Jonathan at the end, with his awesome diversion... (though I too am very annoyed at Clark's white shirt, why??)

Krypto is alive! Alive-ish! I hope Clark can get him out once he has a Fortress to go to, but even if he stays in there's a promise for the future... Lara and Jor-El facing death together always gets me, and having Jonathan and Martha be so proactive and brave was awesome! In short, fun times. :) I have to get more of Demon Knights and Batman up as well! And the flirting in Stormwatch!

Whoa! It's not the white shirt that's distracting you (or that soldier) in the 3rd panel of the second page, rather than the much appreciated fan servicey lack of certain pieces of said shirt!

OMG, you're right, that soldier is TOTALLY CHECKING HIM OUT. You stay away from the Kryptonian, soldier! He's fated for the Bat! :P

Can we keep the t-shirt and not his new turtle-necky costume? I mean, it wouldn't be redundant because Kon has moved on to a tron-inspired type outfit. He just looks so yummy in a shirt and jeans.

Ripped shirt? Yes, please

I know some people like the high collar, but I'm a big fan of the fact that Superman wears a more casual and less imperious cut, so I am all for jeans and a t-shirt, especially since, like you say, Kon seems to have dropped the look.

If it gets ripped up every couple of issues, so much the better!
